My 82 year old father received numerous letters as debt collection for fake toll on license plate never registered in his name. The tag # was my daughters whom he co-signed for on her first car, which she no longer owns. I confirmed with the State of Florida that his name was NEVER on the registration for either vehicle. I believe this is a serious attempt to harrass the elderly. I called and asked where they got the information and they would not answer any questions.
I accused them of identify theft. I believe they may have received the information from the dealer who sold her first car to her. I have reported them to the Bar Association of the State of Florida, to Better Business Bureau, to DCF for harrassing elderly and State of Florida Attorney General. We also gave the information to a news reporter to see if they can get to these people and have them arrested and thrown in jail.
