I have read some of other people ripoff reports. Most of the companies mention are represented by LiveOps. I will mention a few: Affinty, Dave Espino's Auction for Income, Tony Horton 10Minutes Work out, Debt Cures Book by Kevin Trudeau, Magazines supcriptions and the list also includes place where the people sent their gold for cash.

It's imposible to imagine the amount of people that answer TV infomertial in the middle of the night and how easy they provide their credit card information to people that don't even work directly with any of these companies. Most of the product advertise can be purchase at much less money that what is been asked in these infomertials. Recently they added a campaign for AB Rocket with a total price of $134.00, you can purchase the same item in a local department store for about $69.00.

Recently a group of their so call contractors has taken LiveOps to court to challenge the way they pay the contractor, the claim is that even thou LiveOps considere these people contractor they are treat like employees.
Remember whenever you mention a ripoff of any kind, check who is behind.
If you do,then you will find out that LiveOps contractors were the one who took your order and the one who get you to sign for Affinity and all those magazines that you received and seems imposible to cancel.

I've been contracting thru LO for 10 years now...10 years. If you follow the rules and read the green, you will have no issues. LO expects you to take your order and get off the phone. Some calls can be a little nerve wracking and do take longer...this is absolute..however, they are not consistently long. LO expects a sales of 10% in affinities..if you offer them and rebuttle them, they will sell..the only way you can't make that % is not to do it and then complain and blame.

I see alot of complain and blames here, however everyone was happy while they were still able to collect their .25 per min pay. LO is not a cake walk..its work and its real work..for real pay. You get out what you put in...you have to sell the product. People see things on TV and they want them..its up to you to make the final sale for your check.

As for calls coming in more than 1 at a time, there are times when calls will come in and 1 person will hang up, therefore sending call 2...you answer call 2...and when you are thru with it, you dispo and then go back to call one and dispo no one on line..they don't expect you to answer a call when you know there is noone there. I see alot of made up issues on this board and alot of people who took a home work job and didn't know how to use a computer or work with no supervision. If you need someone to hold your hand all day..LO is not for you. Have a good day!

#3 UPDATE Employee

LiveOps gets 5 stars!

AUTHOR: Schulcy - (United States of America)

POSTED: Wednesday, August 25, 2010

I currently am contracted with LiveOps and have been since March 2008. LiveOps operators are clearly not employees for several reasons. 1) LiveOps does not control the days, times or hours that we work. We log in whenever we want and logout whenever we want. 2) LiveOps does not deduct federal or state taxes from pay, nor do they provide any employee benefits whatsoever such as medical coverage, retirement plans, vacation packages, etc... 3) LiveOps does not furnish any of the tools/materials needed to do the work ie. computer, telephone, internet service, headset, etc... we are required to invest that ourselves whereas an employer would normally provide it for an employee.

Every call is recorded and the callers are made aware of that in the beginning of the call. Agents are not permitted to deviate from the basis of the order scripts to force orders on customers. It is the consumer's responsibility to purchase responsibly by knowing and understand what they are buying and to ask questions if they are unclear. The club, affinity, and magazine offers are regulated by laws and must be read word for word so as not to deceive the consumer but give them all of the terms and conditions of the offers. So, the contractors don't "get" anyone to sign up for anything. The contractors present the offer and the customer makes an informed decision to buy or not to buy. LiveOps does not create the products or construct the offers.

LiveOps is an integral company that provides quality services for other companies. They are not "behind" any ripoffs; but rather they present offers to customers that are created and fulfilled by their clients (the companies). And I for one appreciate the opportunity it gives individuals to be in business for themselves as independent contractors.

you oblviously know not of what you speak as to the employee claim.with Liveops you can make your own schedule on the day and times best for you...that sound like you're an employee? you may not work for up to 42 days if you so choose...for no other reason than you dont feel like it....know any "employees" who can do that? as for people being stupid and ordering some of the products which they might find in a retail store....thats the consumers price they pay for not looking around for a better deal. plenty of information out there nowadays so if someone decides to blindly call and pay whatever it is $$$$ for a product sold on TV then they get what they deserve!

I use to work for LiveOps when I was in college. It was a wonderful and beneficial experience. In all fairness, LiveOps record and audit every single call. The customer has to give a clear yes to an affinity to be included. If the customer has a complaint about the magazines and/or vacation offers at the end of the order then the grievance should be expressed to the specific company. Contractors will be deactivated for slamming a customer.
