Lockheed Martin advertises many jobs in the San Antonio Area. However when it comes to calling qualified candidates, they rarely call. If you are contacted by one of their recruiters and you leave them a voice mail or leave a message with the receptionist, the recruiters will never return your calls. If you happen to get them in the office, they will always tell you this lie, "I was planning to call you today."

Unless you have an ACTIVE TOP SECRET SCI CLEARANCE with a LIFESTYLE POLYGRAPH, you are wasting your time and money.

AVOID applying for any jobs with this company in the San Antonio area.

All I will say is this. After working for LM Greenville I did not want to ever do aircraft maintenance ever again. Very poorly run operation......safety standards are never followed or watched.....They used to beat around the bush and say " we arent going to lay anybody off" 2 weeks later it happened. I remember while I was working there they hired some assemblers. They hired them with no experience, told them that they were going to train them. next thing you know the shift leaders are telling them to go perform taks that they have never seen or heard of before on the aircraft. totally messed up situation there. not only that. They hired them and then layed them off 2 months later.....talk about a poor way to handle things......I guess what I am trying to say here is if you are planning to work at LM Greenville. consider employment elsewhere unless you want to work for a poorly run operation.

I had the exact same experience as mentioned above at the Greenville, SC Donaldson Center location. It makes me feel a lot better to know that it wasn't anything new for them and that it wasn't anything that I did to require my dismissal. I busted my butt working for them while they dangled the promise of a full time position in my face, like a donkey and a carrot. (Guess who was the a*s for believing any promises made by LM or by TekSystems.) To make matters worse, I had contacted TS several times after being let go to get some kind of reasoning as to why it happened. I never got a response. So for those interested in working for/with LM or TS, don't.

It is clear that they just keep their head count up so they can charge the government more on the contracts...what a bunch of lossers.

I was hired by a contract company (TEK Systems) to work at Lockheed Martin in Greenville SC. I was assigned to the IS&T Department. I was led to believe that all was going good until one day out of the blue I was told by the contracting company that my services were no longer required. Seems that the LM "Full-timers" made up lies about me taking numerous smoke breaks. I took ONE break each day and that was for lunch. Needless to say thier working hours are 7:30 to 5:30 daily. I even saw the Manager, Dave Trimbach, face to face the day before they let me go and he acted as if nothing was wrong. It is clear that they just keep their head count up so they can charge the government more on the contracts...what a bunch of lossers.

The truth of the matter is that I came in there and did my job. Made the Full-timers look bad because they kept their queues full so that the managment would think they were busy. I cleaned one persons queue in half a day. The others felt threatend and created lies. I can and will name names...but don't want people to think I am slamming on Glenn Robinson, Bill Mullis, Susan Wilson or Dave Trimbach (the Manager)....so sue me...that way the lies can be brought to light. I pissed Glenn off because he is an idiot and does not know how to do his job...just kiss butt. Don't even think about bothering Bill Mullis. He is set in his ways and HATES or LOATHES anyone to ask him a question...don't disturb his precious little world. As for Dave, well....if Susan does not give hiom permission to do something then he wont do it...She is actually a Part-Timer but Dave acts she is a goddess...everything she says goes! Dave is her puppet.

So if you plan to work at Lockheed Martin in Greenville SC...just remember...don't ask Bill questions, treat Susan like she runs the place, ignore Dave...Oh and watch your back for Ted Lucktenburg...he is the Department back stabber. Anyway...remeber that Glenn and Ted are bossom buddies...Better yet...if you don't have to work there don't...there are other more reputable and morally better places to work.

Typical for Government Contractors

I have seen government contractors like this before. I have watched unqualified applicants get hired by CSC, Titan, and General Dynamics, too. The applicants' qualification was that they had a top secret security clearance. Nearly all of the applicants had to be trained for several months before they could minimally do the basics. I believe the defense department is mostly to blame for this. After 9/11, they already knew that there was a backlog of clearance checks and added to backlog by wanting more people checked. Some friends told me it takes over 18 months before you can get a top secret clearance. That why these government contractors will lure military into leaving for these jobs. I heard they give big hiring bonuses even when you can't do the job duties.
