I paid $800 bucks of my hard earned money (online) to buy a Mig/plasma cutter for home and business projects. The thing comes, I set it up and it instantly fries. I drive it in and they say no problem. The 'new' unit fries too - within seconds. Noticing the screws on the cover were 'used' I open it up and see loose connectors. I drive it back to them and report my findings - they take it in. MONTHS go buy. MANY calls. I finnally walk in again and demand service. "we're waiting for parts" they say. I say give me a new unit - they say "it has been discontinued" They also say it's out of warranty - It actually went out of warranty while sitting in your sorry-assed shop wiating for parts.
This welder, as far as I know still sits in their shop. It's never been used (as far as I know).
I sent the CEO a registerd letter describing my experience. His office staff opened it, thus he either hid behind them or he never knew my plight. My last resort was regestered mail.
He, Longevity, and all their staff are losers.
