Los Alamos Medical Center in Los Alamos NM is riddled with corruption. About two years, Sandra J Palmento the lead certified therapist (not even at least registered) began calling me names such as spic, ghetto etc. Then she proceeded to lie about my work not being completed so when called in by management, they were NOT able to validate her claims. The job was done----I mean you can't just abandon patients. Sandra does so and she's been reported so much but one would think she's having sex with upper echelon because no matter how horrible her behavior, they keep her on at the expense of patients and staff. She's not even properly credentialed to be a lead. The entire department is registered except her and it reflects on the quality of her  commitment for staff and patients. For example, I reported her for cheating on a advanced cardiac life class, yet we are expected to use her for advice. [continued below]....

..... I dont because I refuse to waste my time on someone who can not define a very common and ordinary drug named Atropine. I google my doubts, run to doctors and call a friend from another hospital....anything to make sure my patient is not hurt.

This person proceeded to use the hospital email system to send only to me sexual journal where people orgasm via asphyxiation. It was sent only to me and it has nothing to do with my work. Reported and nothing happened. I reported to them the false billing and false documentation she creates. -- nothing. She practically was forcing a nurse to write me up for not doing my work by pushing the paperwork to her chest. It did not work---the nurse refused to lie. (Thank you Sandoval) But then she proceeded to submit the same complaints to management. They attempted to corner me but that failed as well because I do my work and Sandoval spoke the truth.

I was even called in for not charging patients for their care. Once again, I proved to them that a charge on the patient was NOT due, but Sandy placed the false charges anyway and never corrected them. I informed management that those were false charges by sandy. That patient is paying today for therapy she never received. There was a doctors order placing the service on hold and I showed it to them but they never corrected the patient charges.

I would have to participate in these meetings despite that I worked 12hr nights, live two hours away, and had to return to work. But they were not invested in my or anyone's well-being and after awhile I informed management that i will no longer attend to their meetings because the matters are unjustified, I have been truthful and I was not wasting my time at my health's expense any longer. And that furthermore, it was a waste of time as they DID NOTHING about the bullying, the false patient charges etc. that I was able to proove to them.

Finally, one day the HR person, Jacqui Carroll calls me into her office and tells me, "what are you thinking about?....Sandy can sue you! That did it for me and I began recording them for over a year atleast. So finally, the so-called lead therapist, Sandra J.  Palmento assaulted and battered me with a hospital grade door, she proceeded to lie about it as well and stated she feared me and told management that I was forcing my way into the office to hurt Sandra....That was a horrific lie that will be undone by the recordings. I was terminated and during grievance process with the ceo I provided certain recordings to show them HR was a liar, that Sandra was also a liar and I should get my job back. It did not work......why? They rather invest on unscroupulous, lying healthcare providers that are stealing from our patients, lying on documentation and abusing the staff.Its impossible you will receive quality care with a fair billing. It will not happen as long as they have someone willing to manipulate the paperwork and as long as management allows it.

I reported all this to the CEO, Feliciano jiron....He never responded to my concerns and ultimately I accused him of being part of problem.All I remember from that man is that we were all doing patient care, he wanted water and though he was only but 2 foot from the fountain, he stuck his arm out with the mug waiting for someone to get the water which was literally two feet away from him. His expectation was we were to leave our patients so can serve him water. That disgusted me to the point that I lost respect for him and coupled by the fact that he never responded to patient, staff abuses, makes it so that it is clear this man is not a real CEO, and is incapable of being one. If that CEO is more interested in stopping patient care so he can get his water 2 ft away, then he promotes ineptitude, financial abuse and Does not deserve that position.

Sandy, HR director, and the CEO need to go so we can finally get a real hospital at Los Alamos that is truely invested in its community instead of stealing from them. So even though I was terminated and typically not entitled to unemployment, I appealed and won after providing my proof. They did not even show up.

So now there are lawsuits all over the place. The HR bully is attempting to blacklist me from obtaining work my stating "I think Milagros was arrested but we're not sure because it happened on the second floor." and its been distributed. It was too much for her to look at the police report but when I told her of the recordings, she turned red and looked concerned. I would be too.HR Director's, Jacqui Carroll lawsuit #CV 2014-00799 and summoned

Sandra J. Palmento Lawsuit # CV 2013-09922 and summoned. And case no.D-101-CV 200900709 - permanent restraining order placed on Palmento because she abuses people but still on the job.Currently I am working on a suit for the CEO who cant get his own water while staff is doing patient care.

Look folks, consider and research your hospital and the bills you receive from Los Alamos Medical Center. It's so very important. The cost is sooo expensive and I know some folks suffer because of those bills. They also know you suffer except they dont care. At least review your bills and fight them hard.

My hope is that if we push and keep talking we will have the control and they will be forced to bill you correctly and fairly even if they throw tantrums all over the place.My name is Milagros Q (((REDACTED)))


Just wanted to add how horrible this place is : This lead Therapist, SANDRA PALMENTO, STOLE 295.00 I collected from many at the hospital for a co-workers wedding and that skunk stole the money I gave  her to give to bride. I had the bride check her accounts for that several times....no where to be found. I also filed an EEOC complaint back in March of 2013.

 I find it hilarious that the OP FAILED!!!It clearly show that she wrote it in anger AND with a personal vendetta in mind. You can tell that she twisted the truth by WHAT she wrote. Personally I hope that the medical center takes her to task for WHAT SHE POSTED!!!! Everyone SHOULD learn what is right and wrong to post. What SHE posted was nothing but defamation AND she named people. That alone would have me at MY lawyers affice. SHE needs to learn a lesson about HOW she treats others. You can tell its a female because the DRAMA she produced with her own co workers is TYPICAL of an upset self entitled female. Odds are that NONE of what she wrote has ANY basis in REALITY and its just the spin SHE put on situations. while HOW an individual sees ANY situation is important, the differences is reality. what AMAZES me is that while I was the first to post a rebuttal, EVERY rebuttal that didnt believe her got some of her nasty attitude. THAT is indicitive of a DEEPER problem in HER HEAD!!!!PLEASE!!! PLEASE!!!PLEASE!!!! teach this person the lesson she TRULY needs. Take from HER everything SHE holds as valuable and PLEASE keep her out of our hospitals!!! SHE tries to play the victim but it VERY CLEAR that SHE IS THE REAL PROBLEM!!!

To defend myself and clear my name, I would like to say, Ms.Quinones has lost her law suits she has filed with the courts. Persons who file complaints on sites such as  "Rip Off Report" are individuals who are very unhappy with their lives. They are out to make others miserable like themselves. They feel they are owed something to replace the unhappiness they are living.  Los Alamos Medical Center is a great place to work. We take care of our community and respect each individual patient that walks through our doors of this awesome facility.

Ms. Quinones could not prove any of her allegations against LAMC, Sandra Palmento or Jacqui Carroll.  I will not get into detail nor will I elaborate on Ms. Quinones' allegations. I do hope Ms. Quinones can learn to accept the life she is living and  learn how to deal with her everyday struggles and take responsibility for her actions. I wish her well in whatever path she chooses.  

To all the readers who have posted comments supporting or not supporting Ms. Quinones' complaint , please remember do not always believe what you hear or read. Do not judge until all the facts are heard. Truth has and always will prevail over the forces of the evil.

So sad to know there are some who will side with the author without knowing all the facts.  After reading the complaint again I noticed and realized she  is very angered and troubled. It is amazing how people can blame others for something they clearly have created themselves.  Is she blaming others for her own inadequacies? Is this a desperate approach to to mask her own troubled life?,There is always two sides to the story. 

Why hasn't Los Alamos posted in their defense . The fact that Palmetto, Carroll or Jiron  is quiet , tells me two things. 1.  This posting is either true and they are cowards  or they do not want to deal with such childish behavior.  

I hope we hear some news soon. Not hearing anything since Feb tells me  this is a bogus story.

I appreciate your support. I do have so much evidence I have no idea how they think they will thrive. Except that they make think I'll fatigue.....but they don't know me very well. Again, thank you.

I am sorry for your bills. ZLook at some of the links I've provided....many people are experiencing the same. My hope is that many of you will also submit complaints to AG, medicare and elsewhere.

Also, look at Glassdoor website....you'll see incredible complaints from employees and the dangers they pose on patientcare.

Please go elsewhere!!

Although I am horrified to hear about this, it is not surprising. I am so very sorry this occurred to you and I am confident that, if in fact, you have evidence, you will prevail. I am also a victim of this horrific hospital. They intentionally make it extraordinarily difficult to pay your bills, and on a visit, I even witnessed employee abuse. I dont even suspect, but know there is fraud in that place.

Here is an example. There is a patient by the name of Peter Schultz from Los Alamos who works at NM Consortium and went to Los Alamos Medical Center for PT, who according to them is a "total j******." I have no idea who this person is but I know he is/was a patient there who is bad-mouthed. That must be a violation of some kind. I can not imagine what he must feel if he knew he is paying for services just to be spoken about behind his back.

You do have my complete support. I wonder if they follow or even have compliance training. I am angry that I still can not get this bill paid despite multiple attempts and now am receiving collection threats. Is this what they call a healthcare facility?

Kudos to you for your inner strength. You will win your cases. Please keep us informed. My hope is that they will be replaced. How awful and reprehensible that they dare to call themselves a healthcare facility?

Please keep us informed. We all must know about the downfall that is pending against them.

You may have taken some time to read but did not take time to consider. Anyone with that experience would be angry. Common sense, and if you want to place blame because the experience has angered me then you sit down and let me slap you around. You sit down and take coorporate abuse.Your mindset is the reason corporate abuse occurs. Of course, you are probably a corporate puppet youself, huh?


Do your research before you have the audacity to have an opinion....IE: Glassdoor.

 I know how to do research been doing it a very long time.  Don't like the reason you were fired or the way the hospital is run then contact JCAHO, OSHA and New Mexico's Department of Health.  These are the entities that regulate hospitals and nursing homes as well as hospice and home health.  As for the lawsuit, Hospitals get sued all the time! I know this because I used to work for a healthcare company and researched records! So get your facts straight btw where is your lawsuit and when did you file?

It has taken me quite awhile to read your allegations against the hospital in question along with the  3 people you mentioned in your lengthy complaint.  The way I see it is, I hope you have hard evidence against all you have alledged. As a person who knows nothing of either side, you sound like a very angry former employee. I do not understand that with all that has gone on with Palmetto,Carroll,and Jiron,you were the only one who has been terminated. Also as an outsider you really need to sit back and read your complaint. You are writing on anger and it shows. 

For your sake I hope things rule in your favor. I would be worried if it did not rule in your favor. Good Luck. Please give us an update as to where you stand on this case. I would be very interested in the outcome.

If you found no complaints then please take a class on internet research.

Here are just a few I found within 60 seconds......How did you missed them?

1) bbb.org/new-mexico/Business-Reviews/health-and-medical-general/los-alamos-medical-center-in-los-alamos-nm-45011/complaints. ---- LAMC is not a member of the BBB but they can buy a membership and get a good grade. It's in the media how the BBB is not forthright but here are some billing complaints.

2) healthgrades.com/hospital-directory/new-mexico-nm/los-alamos-medical-center-hgst949a7b36320033 -----  Here is the healthscore for Los Alamos Medical Center (LAMC). Nothing about them is above average. Effectively, they are mediocre.

3) washingtonpost.com/wp-srv/health/specials/doctors/Johnson.pdf ---- Wrongful death suit because they hired a doctor with a longstanding history of not knowing her job and it killed someone's loved one.

4) Google "Los Alamos Medical Center billing complaints" and you'll find multiple complaints (4-5) to the extent that it ruined someone's credit for 10 years despite the fact she paid the bill.

Speak with validity or hush.

I have proven facts. Im the one doing the suing. Thanks for your input. I have no opinions to offer as this is either documented or on a recorder.

I did not want to come here to offer opinions but facts. My opinion is useless unless I got grub and I have it.
