On Friday October the 5th approximately 1:30pm Me ,my spouse and my two children arrive at the parking lot behind Raising Cains on University in Lubbock.  My sister and brother-in-law met us and we both parked at the shut-down Leonard's grocery store (9th and X, Lubbock, TX 79401). Upon inspection of the parking area the only noticeable sign as a patron parking only sign of the Leonards store. An hour (1:39) later my family returned to our parking and to find that our vehicles had been towed. According to some witnesses a man in a white pickup(License plate number:CHL4190) has been patrolling the area and calling in the towing company Lubbock Wreckers to come a tow all vehicles within the vicinity. The result of the towing was $243.50 not including gas($20) to and from the yard and taking off work for four hours to retrieve my vehicle. It is illegal because the sign is in the wrong format and the lettering is less than a inch.

You had no permission to park there, ergo you are a UNAUTHORIZED person. The guy rolling around in a white truck was probably the contracted security guard. So this post is less of a ripoff and more of you got caught parking where you shouldnt. There were signs as your own pictures show. You parked at a shut down store and on the top of the sign it clearly shows "Patron Parking Only" If that business is no longer in operation, you can not be a patron of it.

Dont blame the towing company because you tried to pull a fast one. You can argue symantics all you like, but it still doesnt change the fact that you KNEW you shouldnt park there. Just because the sign did not name you and your situation specificly is no reason to post a false report because you got caught. They posted the signs and you either chose not to read them or willfully dismissed the warning.

Take some responsability for your actions, I mean really what are you five years old?? Children place the blame on others when they get caught. You took a risk and it did not pay off. Learn from your mistake and apply that information in future activities. Because when you realize that YOU DO NOT OWN THE PROPERTY THAT YOU PARKED AT, it should be easier on your nerves. They had every right to tow you. Now get over it.
