This is a complaint in regards to EBay user "lucid-systems". This is no joke and there is no possible way he can rebuttal against my claim.

Tuesday, January 20, 2009.

While researching PS3 prices on EBay, I came across a "Buy It Now" Auction for a PS3 with five games for $300. After reviewing "lucid-systems" profile page / feedback (where he had over 1,000 EBay sales and a 98.6% feedback), I decided to go ahead and purchase the system. After the auction, I went directly into my paypal account to transfer the funds (I wanted the system shipped ASAP so i paid very quick!). On Thursday, January 22, I saw that the $300 had been transferred to his paypal account. After I saw that the funds we transferred, I e-mailed him to find out when it would be shipped. This is what I received from BRIAN (this is a direct copy and paste from what he had e-mailed me):

"It will go out tomorrow probably. I thought I had a box big enough for it, but I don't. I'll get packaging material from the store tonight and get everything wrapped and ready to go out in the morning.

I'll email you when it's on its way.

Thanks,

Brian

Lucid Systems"

I followed up with him on Tuesday, January 27 for my second attempt to get more information on my product being shipped - this is what I received then:

"It's on its way, I will give you an expected delivery date from the office tomorrow.

Thank you!"

It is now February 9, and still no PS3. I have attempted to e-mail "lucid-systems" every day for the past two weeks with no response. There is no way shipping would have taken this long (as he resides in Bowling Green, KY and I in Columbus, OH - 5 hour DRIVE). I have submitted this to EBay support and filed a claim through Paypal for the purchase. Luckily, this sale had Buyer Protection, so I am expecting to get refunded 100%. This guy is a joke - he literally cut off any communication (as I tried to call him directly in accordance with his EBay listing - the phone number was disconnected). I am writing this b/c I despise people who choose to live their lives scamming like this guy - I am a young, successful business man who was simply trying to find a good deal on a PS3 and this guy takes my money and disappears. I sincerely HOPE he states his case / writes a rebuttal - I'd be very interested to see HIS side of the story...what a piece of s***...

DO NOT MAKE PURCHASES FROM USER NAME "lucid-systems" on Ebay! He has also changed his username recently - so make sure to check his feedback!!!
