I encourage potential users to pass MagicJack by at 100mph.  It's a crock of crapola.  The service quality is poor, and do they know how to rip you off.

When I first registered for MJ, I was told there was a $20 fee charged by my former carrier to port the number to MJ.  Now that I am changing several things including dumping MJ, they tell me there is a $30 Port out fee plus a $2.32 Administration fee and it takes 8 business days for these dummies to accomplish this.  SERIOUSLY?  8 FREAKING days to take what truthfully only takes a few minutes.  So among their many "attributes" such as liars and thieves, I add incompetent buffoons.

I'm not a fan of VOIP technology but MJ would be the last one on the planet I would recommend.
