I was exploring the opportunity that seemed like a good one until I started asking for additional information which never came.  For instance, a written Rep Agreement that would outline the specifics of commission rates for each product line, a price list to see if they were competitive in the market, details of the "field" training program and if the normal commission rates apply if another seasoned sales person was traveling with me, explain the term "inactive customer", is there any charge back fees, and written agreement to operate under. 

They only wanted to explain things over the phone.  Nothing in writing ever came.  I don't give out my credit card to strangers and sending the $495 by check was not acceptable to them, nor was there clear understanding of the $495 fee.

In short, I decided this was not something I wanted to become involve with.  Written Agreements are for the protection of BOTH parties.  Without promises being in writing, I recommend looking elsewhere.
