Magic Jack Remove Credit Card

AUTHOR: Me And My Mom - (USA)

I have removed my credit card on two occasions so that I wouldn't be charged till I was ready to be charged. Here is how you do it.

Go to: my.magicjack.com and sign in using either your phone number associated with your magic jack or use your email associated with your magic jack (the one you used when you signed up for a phone number). If you forgot it, click forgot and reset password. However, after that is completed. click on Account (on the tab) then in the mid section you will see "Device Status" And underneath that you will see a blue word (Link) that says "Renews) and beside that you will see a date and it will be grey in color. Click the word RENEWS which is the blue link. Once you click that, then look all the way to the right about mid section you will see this.. AUTO RENEWS   and "ON" is highlighted. However the Black button to the LEFT of the word "ON" isn't quite visible but you click that, and it will turn AUTO renew OFF!! Problem Solved.

Now, go up and put your mouse over the ACCOUNT tab again, don't click anything yet. A list of options comes up.... Go down to "Manage Payment Information", click that. And click to REMOVE/DELETE your card. I know it works because I just did it. I don't like having my card on file for any website.. So here is the message I got when I reloaded.
__________________________________________________________________________
"No Cards on file. Without a valid credit card and autorenew enabled your subscription(s) may lapse. This may result in loss of phone number(s) and/or service(s) associated with the subscription(s). To avoid this risk, be sure to keep at least one valid credit card on file at all times and enable autorenew.Add a Credit Card"

Now with that said, I have been able to add/remove my debit/credit cards for three years, they have changed the way their site looks for paying customers. but it's much easier to use now, IMHO.

No website is allowed to "KEEP" your CC/Debit card info. if you ask them to remove it or if you have the option to remove it without their help. But of course as a long term user of MJ I can honestly tell you that NOTHING is easy with their grade school customer service reps. A 5 yr old can make more sense than any one of them on any given day.

Have a good one.
