 I contracted with Mark Langlois dba The Floor Specialist to remove my tile floors and install wood flooring. We could not find the flooring we wanted from Mark so he gave me a quote for the job and the required materials I would need. I called him back and told him we would use his company for the installation. He was very accomodating as far as scheduling the start date. He and his crew arrived on Monday to start the demolition and installaion. He had purchased 2 baggers for the removal of the old materials. He asked me if i wanted to pay for them and I said I would pay for one and he the other. He agreed to the offer. His crew was very efficient and they had all of the tile removed by 3pm. They started with the wood installation that same day. Mark askded me for a check to cover the demolition. i wrote him a check and included the $119 for the bagger. They arrived on schedule the next morning and the install went very well. As a matter of fact I was impressed with the progress and the expertise of the job. Later that day Mark and his wife left for another job. I asked Mark about calling in the bagger order because it takes up to 3 days for them to pick them up. He had said after Wednesday they could come and get them. He said he was calling them when he got into his company truck to drive away. His crew stayed until after 5 and got most of the work completed. Wednesday morning they returned to finish the job. Mark worked on the 2 landing and the rest of the crew finished the T moldings, caulking and the little details. Mark left after finishing the two landngs to go to another job. His crew finished up. We were short 1 "T" molding ( I ordered what he told me I needed), and two of the moldings came in wrong. I immediately called the company I purchased the floors from and reordered the moldings needed. Mark agreed to come back to finish the job once the moldings arrived. Lie # 1. His crew finished the work and his mother collected the balance owed. First mistake was paying him in full. After they left I called Waste management to find out about the bagger pick up, they had no order. Mark did not call. I contacted Mark and asked why and he said he got busy. Lie #2. He said he would mail me a check for the $119. Lie #3. I had to pay for both of the bags to be removed from my driveway. When the moldings arrived I texted and called Mark with no response. I blocked my phone number and called him again, he answered. He started some bullshit line about me watching him during the install like I didn't trust him ( Imagine that, he was transferring his own guilt about his crooked ways onto me. We talked and he agreed to set a time to finish the job. He changed the date multiple times over the next three weeks. I texted him again and he set a saturday morning for 9am. On Thursday I texted and called him to confirm the date and time. No response. Friday afternoon I called him from a different phone number and he answered. I asked why he had not responded and he said he booked another job. and that we could plan for later that day. This is the same story I have heard for 3 weeks.  I told him that was unacceptable. He said he did not have to talk to me and that I should have had the moldings there to finish the job. He told me i would have to get somone else to finish the job! He hung up on me! This is absolutely a true story. I am not a disgruntled employee or a customer he has no record of ( the story he told me when I questioned the Rip Off report posted online). Mark Langlois AKA  The Flooring Specialist is a liar and a crook. What could have been a great flooring job with possible referrals, has become a RIP OFF from a CON MAN. He has 2 different websites on his card that are not active. He smiles while he lies at you! He will steal from you at every opportunity. Do not trust him no matter what he tells you. Mark, one day your lying &  cheating will catch up to you. On the other hand you have been lying and cheating for over 20 years. I guess you really are a professional at something.

 Once again Mark Langlois is lying. Isn't is amazing that I would write a ripoff report and be 100% satisfied as Mark stated! Why would I spend my time and energy if I was a satisfied customer. This time he puts his lies into writing and not over the phone. It took him almost a year to respond to my report. Obviously my factual review affected some of his potential customers and for that I am happy. Mark rebutted my report with more lies and said it was only about the $119. I paid for both bags, the pick up and to have the moldings installed that were not finished. He did not come back to my house to install any additional moldings. Another Mark Langlois LIE. My first report was true and accurate and the rebuttal is coming from the same LIAR I wrote about in my first report. Mark's goal is not to make the customer happy, it is about taking the money and running. When he says the job is done it's done, whether he has finished it or not. Mark shame on you for trying to make me look like the bad guy here. It is on you! I contracted you to do a job and you did not finish it but you took my money. I am sure your dad told you about lying too but obviously that was a lesson you chose to ignore. I stand by my first review and it was and still is accurate. Mark you are an expert at spinning your LIES and you are still practicing your technique in this rebuttal. Hopefully, the consumer will read more reviews about Mark and realize who is telling the truth. Here is something my father once told me... How do you know if a dishonest person is lying, their lips are moving! Mark is nothing but lip service. How much lower can a person get? Ask Mark he 's still not quite there yet.

You my Dad told me a long time ago that your not going to make everyone happy, and unfortunately this is one of those cases.

The customer is mad about $119 bill to dispose of there own trash.  We could have left it in the front of there home but we decided we would get it out of site and dispose of it.  

Its funny how he doesn't mention how the trims were back ordered and I had to make 2 special trips back for free to install them.  Also we werethere for a week, while he stood over my shoulder at every turn wanting to kknow how and why I was doing it the way I was doing it.  He was very paticular and thats fine because we are on the ball when it comes to finish and details.  

Bottom line when we left the job we were paid in full.  We were paid at the end of the job when everything was complete and he was 100 % happy.  Remember there is his side, my side and the truth somewhere in the middle.

 

 

We have been here in Orlando since Feb. 1998 helping homeowners,  contractors and investors with all there flooring needs.  Last month alonein April 2014 we did 17 jobs that were straight referrals, so we must be treating some of our customers right to refer a half of months work.  

 

In addition to that we have accounts that we service that are in excess of 5 years, so we must be treating them ok too.
