Our vehicle has been making noise for a few weeks now.  We had repairs done, paying out of pocket over $1000.  The noise was still there so we took it to the local dealership.  It has been there for almost 2 weeks now and Mastertech will not start the claim process so we can get our vehicle fixed.  They will not return calls to the dealership and since my engine is in pieces, it can not be moved.  Mastertech insisted on all of our maintenance receipts, assuming we have not taken care of our vehicle and told the dealership that they may not cover the repairs due to our neglect.  This is the worst warrenty company I've ever dealt with and would not recommend them to anyone, ever.  They have no customer service skills and blaming the customer without even looking at the vehicle is not the way to conduct business.

How long is the original author supposed to wait for a response from the warranty company?

AUTHOR: FloridaNative - ()

You said the author needs patience. They have been waiting for two weeks. If the warranty company can't respond within that time frame then the warranty company needs to change their process. There is no adaquate defense to not responding to a claim within two weeks. Two weeks is a long time to wait to hear if the client's coverage will be honored or ignored. IMO it looks like they are using the old trick of not responding so the customer must pay for their own repair even if the repair is a covered repair.

Warrenty.....

AUTHOR: Tyg - ()

A warrenty IS NOT a cover all for your problems. ANY warrenty is going to have stipulations as to what exactly is covered. They have not denied your claim. The warrenty company CAN NOT just cover every claim thrown at them. That would have them out of business in no time. They do have to protect their customers and by that I mean ALL of thier customers. As such they MUST do thier part to ensure you have a valid claim. Many ppl think nothing of screwing a warrenty company over.

They think its just some faceless giant that can afford to take hits on fraudulent warrenty claims. The unfortunate part is that yes the are a giant company, but THEY dont take the hit. The current customers do. This means more restrictive requirments on warrenty claims. Just because they are a warrenty company is no reason for them to take the shaft. I would suggest that you STAY ON TOP OF YOUR SITUATION!!!! Send them the information requested and wait. You might be surprised how far aptience will get you.

They have to do thier part to protect not only themselves but their customers as well. Yes they MAY start off trying to blame the consumer. But once the information is presented that you have taken care of your vehicle, then they will more then likely take care of your claim. They have not ripped you off. This is a WAAA WAAA post. Youre b*tching because its not as fast as you would like it to be. Well get over yourselves guys. The real world IS NOT the internet. It is not a magic trick.

When a company has to pay out several thousand dollars for a engine rebuild you can be damn sure they are going to make sure that its actually their responsability to do so. This takes time. So sit back and wait until they REALLY screw you to post. And remember....THEY DID NOT USE YOUR VEHICLE!!!! If your claim is denied, its not because of what THEY did. You had the car and used it. Youre just running to them so YOU dont have to pay it.
