On November 30, 2014 I paid a deposit of $2200.00 towards admission for a vegan culinary school in Miami, Florida.  The school was Matthew Kenney Culinary.  I have a receipt and a chain of emails which documents all of this.  Shortly after I received a phone call informing me that the Miami location would not be opening on time.  At the time I was told that I could attend another location however after consideration, this was not an option for us.  I have a family of 5, my husband, myself and my 3 children and we had a place to stay for the month in Miami. If I had to rent a house for a month in antoher location it would have been very expensive.

I then let the school representative, Geoff Souder, know that I would like a refund which he had agreed to.  This was May 28, 2014.  Again I have our emails of all coorespondence.  I was told that even though we had paid with a credit card and they received the money right away, they could not return it right away and they would send a check.  I was told it would be 30 to 60 days.  That amound came and went.  I then tried to reach Geoff Souder and was told he no longer worked there.  I then spoke to a chain of other people who all told me they would help me.  I even had an account reference number from "accounting" confirming my address again after the 30-60 days so that I would absolutely get my refund.  

The last 4 conversations I have had have been through the "accounting office" with someone named Connie.  Although she seems like a very nice person and has promised the check will be sent out (last conversation was last Tuesday-8/18/2015) it is now Friday (8/28/2015) and to no avail.  I have not received this check. I have also left 3 more messages via phone and no one has returned my phone call. I am still waiting for my tuition reimbursement.
