A represantative of Entrust Bankcard signed me with a lot of good promise to their merchant service and said that the price of the machine will be included. My contract withthem was month to month and did not suspect that she sold me a 5 year non cancellable equipment lease. When I wanted to cancel their merchant service they told me that I cannot cancel the lease. I checked the papers it was $59/month for a machine which is $250 retail. They are charging on top of it tax + insurance which I provide a COI every year. If I delay few days they charge me extra insurance. Now their machine is not working and I want a replacement but I cannot reach anybody. They are charging but no service can be expected.

You May Have Legal Recourse

Hello,
I'm not sure if you are aware, but most states have a law about door-to-door sales. When someone sells you something door-to-door, in most states you have a 3 day grace period to change your mind. If you live in one of these states and can prove that you contacted this business to cancel the contract (maybe by a phone record, text, or email), you can probably recoup your loss in small claims court.
If nothing else, I'm sure this experience has taught you to read what you sign, no matter how long and small-printed the document may be. Better to learn this now instead of later, especially on something bigger like a mortgage or car loan.
Best of luck if you choose to persue this further, and of course, STAY AWAY FROM THOSE DOOR-TO-DOOR SALES! If you didn't seek it out, you probably don't need it.
