We stopped using their service after giving them our business for 5 plus years.

We notified them of our change of processor, but did not send in a written confirmation of termination. We stopped using their service but they continued to bill $25+12=$37 per month for not using their service. We refused to pay the bill. The bank account they had been receiving their monthly charges from was closed in June.

In July they could not get their fee from the account of the business that I owned (account was closed.) I had a personal bank account at the same bank. They charge the fees against my personal checking account. My personal banking and my business banking are not intermixed by me... but it made no difference to them. They took the money anyway.

Apparently they are too large and too distant from any need to maintain a good relationship with their customers. I will attempt to tell anyone who asks
about the way they treat their past customers.

With most companies they want to know why they lost the business from a parting customer. This company wants to continue to collect money for services not rendered, and will use any logic they can to continue to invoice for monthly charges. Sure the fine print in the original agreement states in small print that a written cancellation must be on a form they send, and received and acknowledged by them before the customer may stop paying the monthly service charge. Keep Your Own Council...

The guidelines state clearly, that your comment doesn't qualify as an "educated"
opinion...why would anyone choose to take a a position on something they clearly don't know the details on?...Why do I care?...Because I know that person's complaint was legitimate...I also have an ongoing effort to herd these scam artists into a position to eliminate them all...but they have their little scheme put into place in segments, so that one is contingent upon the other one, so none is under a clear obligation to vouch for the other...like a 3-headed viper, cut off one, and the other two can bite you...and the other just grows back to bite again. Since you are supporting this type of activity...maybe you are you one of them?
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
See: Guidelines for posting...and get more education...ie:
....Please note that rebuttals should NOT contain any of the following:
Rumors, speculation, or innuendo
......unless you have personal knowledge that your statements are true;
Trivial comments (i.e., Nice report!) which do not add anything useful to the discussion.
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~

Now, unless you have specific rebuttal info to the original poster's complaint, the above guideline appears to apply to your comment...if you have specific info that proves the complaintant's in error or fraudelent...please say so un-ambiguously, or refrain. I don't imagine there's a lot of folks who have the time or inclination to post bogus complaints....but, then, there's your post, proving that theory wrong, isn't there?

Anyone who's looking to see if they should do business with any of these companies, specifically...I, personally, advise against it...it's been an expensive
lesson, to find that these institutions aren't regulated, nor under oversight. So...
Caveat Emptor!...BEWARE! These complaints are in line with my experience with them....Bad/Wrong business practices with knowledge of how to get away with it.
Quite expensive and time-consuming....which is what they count on to dissuade opposition...I'm certain there's a lot more complaints than are posted on this site.

In response to what Woodforest is doing, all that can be said is PAY YOU BILLS and you will not have to worry about monthly charges. If you owe the bank, you probably owe other places as well. Grow up and take responsibility for you own actions.
