First, let me start by saying that I am a good customer of the McDonald's Buffalo Trail location and I have spent quite a bit of money there over the years. I am always patient, wait my turn and will tolerate hatefulness for quite a bit until it gets rediculous.

I, myself have worked for the public for 20 years here in the Morristown area, along with other states (Louisiana, Alabama, North and South Carolina, Kentucky.) I always operate with the philosophy that the customer is ALWAYS right, no ifs, ands or buts.

Anyway, about 3 weeks ago I went to the McDonalds Buffalo Trail location to eat breakfast. I usually go there to eat with my dad. Also, while i am there, I will purchase 6 or 12 ham and biscuits to go so that my mother who is suffering from terminal cancer will have something to eat in the mornings. Anyway, 3 weeks ago and just like today I placed my order. I told the young lady at the register I wanted to order 12 ham biscuits to go and order an egg biscuit to eat there. She said ok.

So, I ordered, paid and I waited. She waited on other customers, and served them their food and off they went to eat. Still no, egg biscuit. I reminded the young lady about my biscuit to go and she said ok. Then her manager, Kimberlee Sheperd came on the scene and wanted to know what was wrong. I said, I want my egg biscuit to eat here, and please bring me the ham biscuits out to me when they are finished. Kimberlee Sheperd replied "No, you can come up here and get them." I said ok..and walked away.

So, I took my egg biscuit and ate it. Now, let me back up and say that I have ordered ham biscuits to go before and the servers always being them out to me at my table.
Anyway, I ate and then went back up to get my ham biscuits. Of course, here was Ms. Sheperd who got them for me and replied in a sarcastic manner, "Thank you sir, you have a nice day" I turned around and walked out.

Well we ate there last week, and I ordered the same thing.. same order, got my food to eat there and NO PROBLEMS, then got my biscuits to go no problems.. Guess what? Ms. Shepherd was not there.. I did not see her.
Anyway, today my father and I went there to eat, I placed the same order with a young lady and told her how I wanted it done. I told her the ham biscuits were to go and I wanted my egg biscuit to eat there..

Well, guess what? I stood there, other customers were waited on, received their food, still no egg biscuit. I told the little girl working there that waited on me, I said I need my egg biscuit, she said "ok" still nothing. Well, finally, she looks up and says something to the effect, Oh you're waiting on ham biscuits. Guess who walked up? Kimberlee Sheperd. She had the empty bag in her hand and said, "I have your egg biscuit here in the bag. I said, yes I would like to have it to eat. Ms. Shepherd replied' "I did not know that" I said, "yes, but I told her twice" She says "Thank you" in a smart aleck remark. I said, I need your name. Ms. Sheperd replied "IT'S ON MY NAME TAG" of course I was about 10 feet away from her and could not see it.

I turned away took my egg biscuit over to the table and when I turned away, she spoke out real loud in front of all the customers and employees "This guy ACTS LIKE THIS ALL THE TIME! and you could hear some laughter from some people.

After eating, I went back to the serving counter to get my ham biscuits. Here is Kimberlee Shepherd again. She has my ham biscuits. I said, I need my biscuits and I need your name. She said, it is Kimberlee Shepherd in a really smart manner and asked if I wanted the phone number to call. I said no, that I would take care of her tomorrow. She said, Ok fine... Anyway, I left the restaurant and I cannot believe that McDonald's hires people like Kimberlee Sheperd to manage their stores. I spent nearly $31.00 at that store this morning. I would think that my business would be appreciated better than that. I guess I was wrong in that assumption.

Anyway, I have already reported this manner to the McDonalds headquarters today. I will call the franchise owner tomorrow in Knoxville and then I will call the CEO and office of the president of McDonalds tomorrow as well. I have no idea why anyone who has a management title or any title in a restaurant would act this way. I just wanted my food to eat there and then the other food to go. And I specified that PLAINLY on both all 3 occasions. Kimberlee Sheperd, I feel sorry for you. It is a shame that you act this way with customers, I wonder how many more customers you treat this way? I just hope that someone within McDonalds will take care of this situation.

Does anyone else in Morristown or surrounding counties have trouble at this Buffalo Trail location in regards to poor customer service? I hope I am the only one who has been treated this way. Anyway, call up the McDonald at Buffalo Trail and ask Kimberlee Shepherd and the manager what they think of the situation. Ask them if this is the way they treat customers? Maybe this will change McDonalds attitude along with Ms. Sheperd's attitude in her future relations with customers.

Really???? you expected to be treated nicely by someone working at McDonald's? Granted you had been going their a long time and granted you did order a lot of food but you know some people are just like that and i agree she probably shouldn't have a managers position but its not something the McDonald's corp cares about which yes is sad but that's how it is..I worked for Windy's and other fast food places and its all the same thing. Now if they had spit in your food or by all means do something else entirely disgusting I could understand why you would be so ticked off and take it that far. Next time dont bother to take it to corp because its just not worth your time and nothing will come of it. Just try to avoid her at all costs learn when she works and if shes there ask for someone else. You can always grow a couple and tell her off yourself.

well everyone, I just wanted to update you on the latest with the problem I had at the McDonalds at Buffalo Trail yesterday. it is just like I was told it would be.. the Cochran family DOES NOT CARE about it's customers. I called the Knoxville McDonalds headquarters, The Cochran Family this morning. I spoke with a lady by the name of Joan who said she had worked for the company for over 25 years. When she first answered the phone when I was transferred to her, she let me know real quick at how this was going to be handled. her reply was "yes, I already know the entire problem you had yesterday, I have listened to the telephone recording." "so there is no reason for you to tell me again what happened." Joan tried to play all "holier than thou" with me. You know how they try to treat you with kindness and speak in a tone of voice like they are talking to an idiot or something.
Anyway, her answer was "the young lady who originally took my order was a new employee and did not tell the kitchen that my egg biscuit was to be eaten there." I told her... Joan, that is not the problem.. the issue at hand is how Kimberlee Shepherd treated me that day and the other time before that. I mean, Joan was acting as if nothing else had happened other than a simple mistake with how the order was placed. She wasn't even going to address the issue of the rude manager.
Anyway, I told Joan that she was very good at her job, and very well trained. I told her she was trained very well right down to every little word she spoke. She told me not to insult her. LOL! I told her that she wasn't as slick as she thought she was. The Cochran family has trained her very well... I told her that she made my day and it was very comical at the way she was acting. Anyway,
I am done with McDonalds for good. The key thing that was learned from this entire experience is that the (Cochran Family of Knoxville, McDonalds Knoxville) dooes not really act as if they care about their customers.

Joan, the corporate lady in Knoxville never offered anything to make up for the problem. She told me that she was turning if over to some other supervisor and they would handle it. I asked for an apology from Kimberlee Sheperd and she said she didn't know anything about if that was going to happen, just that it would be taken care. I asked "how will I know it is taken care of?" She said it would be unprofessional for her to tell me how they were going to handle it.
The only thing that Knoxville area McDonalds (The Cochran Family) offered was a shallow apology.
Anyway, that is fine. they will not get any more of my money.
Anyway, one other thing that Joan told me in Knoxville was that she knew I was going to be posting this stuff on topix.net and ripoffreport.com website. She acted as if they didn't even care. Oh well..
This was all disappointing. But like I said, I was told how The Cochran Family runs their business... I now know as well. Thanks!
Also, let me add the phone number to The Cochran Family (Knoxville Area McDonalds) Call them up and ask them how they feel about the situation. I am quite sure that Joan would love to hear from you. Maybe she can give some better information to you. The phone number is

A little later today, I called the Corporate McDonalds customer service phone line again to file my complain against Joan and the Cochran Family (Knoxville Area McDonalds) the young lady at McDonalds USA I spoke to was very polite and said she would document everything again and she apologized for everything and how Joan acted in Knoxville. I told her to call down to Knoxville and let Joan with Cochran hear my latest phone conversation recording. I also informed the lady with corporate that I would never visit another McDonalds location again. I told her I would go to Hardees or Chik Fi La from now on. I also notified McDonalds USA that this complaint would be filed on ripoffreport.com
Anyway, thanks www.ripoffreport.com for a wonderful website. You are doing a GREAT SERVICE to the public in helping keep corporate America in line. Cochran Family (Knoxville McDonalds) definitely needs some improvment in management skills, all the way down to Kimberlee Sheperd and her measly assistant manager position. Thanks!
