McKenzie Scott Partners do not deliver as promised and dramatically overcharge Denver Colorado 

While still employed I decided to sign up with McKenzie Scott after several discussions and much negotiation. Still being busy with my job and family I bought into the claims that they send out resumes that are up to "100 times" better than existing resumes and "pre-sell" you to the company. I was assigned a "local office consultant". I answered questions on the website that allows them to quickly and easily create a resume. Which was clearly nothing as special as advertised. The follow up that was done after the resume was mailed was an occassional phone call saying how can I help you. Forgive me, but I thought they were supposed to be the experts, given their fees? After complaining to Paul Bokelman I was given another consultant in Denver. Nothing really changed. The resume rework was effectively the same document, despite trying to get significant changes made. After two distributions by McKenzie Scott to over 7,000 entities I decided it was time to do it myself. So I wrote my own resume and paid $150 for another resume to be written. I signed up with worktree.com, theladders.com, replaced my resume on Monster, Careerbuilder etc... and did a distribution to 2600 recruiters. I had 7 phone calls within two weeks, and got 3 job offers. Do not make the mistake of thinking you do not have the time. For less than 1/10 of the cost of McKenzie Scott you can achieve everything they do and have much more say and control over the process. They offer little if anything that you cannot quickly and easily find on the internet for a whole lot less money and frustration. Mark Carmel, California
