McSteamy's Professional Carpet Cleaning Tom Boughan, Ryan Berry Does not pay subcontractors. Lies, Lies, and more Lies! Alpharetta Georgia

 In may of 2016, Tom Boughan, a partner at McSteamy's Professional Carpet Cleaning, contacted me about pressure washing 17 lots of new construction on an account they had acquired through Century Homes. Altogether, it was $2400 worth of work. I was sent work orders and told I would be paid no later than 2 weeks after completion. While doing the work, there was good communication with Tom Boughan, and the work was completed to satisfaction in the agreed upon time. He assured me the next week that he had sent me a check in the mail. I never received a check, so when I asked Tom about it, he said his accountant must have messed up and said he would get in touch with him and get me paid asap. Once again, the check never came, so again, I called Tom. He told me he would personally bring me a check Friday, but when the time came, I could not get in touch with him. Several days later, I contacted him again, and he said if I sent him a money request to his email, he would pay with a credit card. I sent him the request, he acknowledged he had received it, and then never paid.

After going through all this, I called the office and talked to Ryan Berry, Tom's partner at McSteamy's. Ryan said he knew about the deal Tom and I had made, and would get in touch with Tom and see If he would pay me. A few minutes later, I received a call from Tom saying that without a doubt, he would pay me Friday. He never paid me. Weeks go by, and after hearing excuse after excuse, Tom then says once again he will pay me Friday. I wasn't holding my breath, luckily, because once again, Friday came, but no money came with it . At this point, I am steaming mad. I just want to get paid for services rendered, not to mention the $800 I had put out for chemicals, gas, and labor. I contact Tom's partner Ryan Berry, and Ryan says he is now the sole owner of McSteamy's and that Tom had split ways. Ryan then says McSteamy's will not be paying me, and I would have to get paid by Tom personally. Tom has blocked my #, and will not answer unkown numbers. Mine is not the only company they have done this to either. I contacted Century Homes, the company who contracted the work to McSteamy's, and they said they had received complaints from other Subcontractors that McSteamy's had used that they too had not been paid. These guys are scam artists, or just plain unethical. I have a small business with a child on the way supporting a family of 4. I have never had any problems getting paid from any company other than McSteamy's. Not getting paid $2400, and also losing $800 in overhead is tough on a small business. I always do my end of the bargain, and it really bothers me how these lowlives won't hold up their end of the deal.
