Our daughter began enrollment with AIRD in July of 2010 within weeks after graduating high school. We were made many promises: fast track BA in 3 short years, transferable credits, student work study, and connections for jobs in and out of school before and after graduating. Within the first year our daughter brought home a form stating that the school had changed its course requirements for graduating and that many of the courses she took no longer were part of her degree program and did not count. The school gathered students without parents and had pizza and fun and coerced them into signing these forms, our daughter did not, she brought hers home for us to read refusing to sign. The school was not happy. We read it and contacted the school, when they were not forthcoming, I demanded they credit the cost of those obsolete courses to future courses they told us it would be balanced out in tuition rates. That was a lie. I was told if we did not sign, our daughter would be unable to continue school. We then looked into transferring her to another school in California and none of her credits were transferable. We were in shock. If she wanted to go to this other school or any other school she would have to begin from scratch. What a waste of time and money. We decided she would stay, having no other real choice and this is when the financial aid issues began. There were already issues with the aid people not knowing what to do, how to perform their jobs properly, losing important information and documents, requesting them over and over again. I lost count of how many times I made phone calls and trips to the school to unravel the mess they were making and to tell them how to do their jobs. Suddenly, we began getting bills from the school, that we owed money, our daughter had transitioned from parent plus loans to her own loans and the school went through so many employees within all depts. that the financial aid people were going through her files, losing papers again, making errors. One girl had us come in three times to change our daughter's FAFSA back and forth as she did not know what she was doing and each time we protested explaining that she was in error, but we were treated as if we were stupid and placated while they made errors. Our daughter's aid has not been processed at the AIRD in over a year! She has a bill of over 15-20000.00 because aid was not processed. We made call after call and trip after trip only to be sent to another person and when our daughter pinned down a person they were gone and another in their place. We have been threatened and harassed by phone and mail and we have been forced to change tax filings for our daughter. She refiled all taxes for 2011 and 2012, she was married in 2012 her husband also had to refile his tax for 2012. We provided the school with copies of these filings, which were filed with the IRS and AIRD says that this is not good enough for them to process the back aid, which was their own mistake not ours, they could have and should have filed it, we filed her FAFSA each year and provided all tax and income w-2 verification, including verification worksheets. AIRD says they have to use the actual transcript from the IRS, well it takes several weeks for that to come in, and this means our daughter cannot attend school this quarter. She was supposed to graduate last december, however, between an illness she dealt with and the school tacking on extra course, removing others already taken up time and money, and now again they have combined courses stating they are required, so our daughter is taking courses she already took and paid for and passed, however, they are combined with a course she has not taken. PRETTY TRICKY! She is scheduled to graduate December 2014, our daughter is also expecting their first child in December on or around the 20th, she would have graduated the second week, just before the baby, hopefully, either way she had the time to complete her degree work and now with the schools ongoing shenanigans and errors, she will not be able to do so. Please help us, help her. We do not know who to call for an attorney, we know many other parents have filed lawsuits against AIRD and their affiliates and the government has investigated the school and this is why they have changed their degree program, transfer credit issues. Well, they are stealing from families and the government if you ask us and we want satisfaction. We want our daughter to be allowed to complete her degree as scheduled by December 2014 and her financial aid to be processed accordingly and the school should be liable for their own mistakes, not us or our daughter. Otherwise, we expect the school to credit monies paid for courses no longer eligible for original degree program (as they have changed it to their favor, repeatedly) and those funds should go to her balance as well. As a matter of fact, we are asking for all of the above. She should be allowed to complete her degree as scheduled starting this week new quarter of school, that she is being denied to register for, even though her advisor Amy Vanocken has tried to register her for, repeatedly, she should have her tax returns accepted as is just as filed with IRS, and her spouse's amended form for 2012 and the school should be required to credit funds back to her account for courses they claimed were requirements and then changed the degree program and those were for nothing. The school is incompetent as are many of their staff, including instructors who teach several courses per quarter, courses they have no clue what the curriculum is, they make it up as they go along. Please help us and help other students. Thank you for your consideration and we hope to hear from you soon as time is of the essence. Good day.

Update! On July 14th 2014 our daughter was told she was allowed to attend classes to graduate in Dec. 2014, that the school would figure out the financial aid problem with its employees that caused her aid to not be processed for over 15 months, however, Today July, 15th 2014 our daughter was told that she had until July 21st to pay the thousands of dollars in her account balance owed to the school or she would be disenrolled. Now the head of Accounting spoke with her and myself and made financial adjustments, credits to her account and is aware of the ongoing issues and is trying to help us to help her graduate. Let's see.

Thank you.
