Calvary Family Martial Arts & Fitness is apparently a subsidiary of Member Solutions... My husband is in the Air Force and has received PCS Overseas Orders. Therefore my 3 children, 2 of which are enrolled at Calvary Family Martial Arts & Fitness will be moving back to California for 1 year to live with my Mother beginning July 24, 2014.

Member Solutions will not accept my husband’s PCS Orders as he is not on the contract so after complying with Member Solutions list of cancellation requirements by submitting two (2) of the following documents, Member Solutions continues to REFUSE to close my account and cancel my contract.

My Mother called Member Solutions and Rep. Daryl refused her request to speak with Operations Associate Fatima Taylor, instead opting to handle the call himself.

My Mother explained per military guidelines I could retain Colorado Driver’s License, since being a homeowner I would be returning to the state. Member Solutions and Rep. Daryl told her to put me on her California home mortgage; however there is no mortgage as the home has been paid off for 12 plus years and no she would not be changing any of the utilities into my name. Rep. Daryl informed her in Member Solutions opinion proof of employment is unacceptable as I will be working in the family owned business. Member Solutions Rep. Daryl also discounted the letter from my bank verifying my account and the California address as being inappropriate documentation. At this juncture, Rep. Daryl became extremely belligerent and terminated the call when my Mother asked to speak with his supervisor.

Member Solutions is a DESPICABLE company with rude and offensive representatives. Member Solutions and Calvary Family Martial Arts & Fitness obviously care nothing of the military personnel who comprise the majority of their clientele nor do they adhere to their own stipulations and provisions.

No Idea who this is

We are sorry to hear about the difficulty that you have experienced.  Since we have  A LOT of military and civilian clientele and you did not mention who you are, I am unable to dive into your situation fully.  However, I do see some things which are incorrect and I can speak in a general manner to help you resolve this.  We have had many people who are active duty receive orders and move and when they have followed the procedures the process of cancellation is Very Very easy.

First please allow for me clarify and error.  You said "Calvary Family Martial Arts & Fitness is a subsidiary of Member Solutions".  That statement is incorrect.  Due to the many hours that we teach (we teach military units, military individuals, civilians, as well as various educational facilities and schools throughout Colorado and abroad) we found it imparative for us to acquire a billing company who can take care of the billing requests of the students.

This is not different than the thousands of martial arts schools and gym facilities throughout the United States.  This allows for us to continue to help all the people with our instruction and not to be pulled away from their training to view financial information or billing questions.  We are sorry that you have had a negative experience with Member Solutions.  Since they are a totally separate entity than CFMAF in which we do not have any ownership in them, I would suggest that you contact them to voice your complaint.  Hopefully, they can resolve your issue of how they have interacted with you during this experience.

In regards to the matter of cancellation, it is standard that all you need to do when receiving PCS orders is a few things.  1. Send a copy of the orders to Member Solutions or to us and we can forward them to Member Solutions.  As I have looked through our data base, I do not see any orders supplied to us from any member of the military within the last 9 months.  So I am thinking you have not supplied those orders to us.  In your statement you said that your children are leaving to live with your parents in California. It sounds as if you are remaining in Colorado. If you are not PCSing (moving) with your husband and your children are moving else where,  then you can simply supply information that document the children living in California.

As we all know, for medical and legal reasons it is not prefarable for the children to move to another state and for those caring for the children not to have legal documents showing the children are living with them and under their care.  I am a little confused that in one sentence you say your two children will be moving back to California to live with your mother, then in another you state that your mother explained to member solutions that yo could retain yoru Colorado Driver's License, since being a homeowner you would be RETURNING to the state.  Maybe this is where Member Solutions has gotten confused.  Are you staying in Colorado and the children are moving to California while your husband PCS'es or are you moving as well.  These things can help to clarify the situation.  I can help you through the process should you choose to contact me.

As you can imagine, in todays world people often lie or mislead in their attempt to not keep their obligations. Sadly, we know of businesses, and have experienced ourselves people saying they have moved only for me to run into them at the grocery store, people saying they have a broken leg, only to run into them at the softball field.  All this happened prior to us and like businesses using a billing company to verify situations like this.  I am sure that you are not such a person, but this happens.  This is why Member Solutions requires certain information so that they are covered when they do cancel a persons agreement. I can assure you that they have cancelled many contracts due to PCS (moving) orders of the military.

You are the first that I have heard of that has had problems, which leads me to believe that there is something that is not being done to meet their requirements.  Call me and I will intervene and try to figure this out.  Again, not speaking for Member Solutions, but what is typically needed for me to help is a copy of the PCS orders, if your children are moving some documentation showing that they are under the legal care of the person in another state.  The proof of their relocation is important because it seems that you are staying in the area, so we need to show that the children are not.  Unfortunately, a person saying that is not valid proof.  Are the children enrolled in a California school?  We can use that as proof as well.  As you can see it truly isn't a very difficult problem to resolve at all.  I look forward to helping you, but need for you to contact me because I do not have any documentation of any of our students going through this and notifying us of this problem.

Thank you for the opportunity of assisting you.
