I had a powersteering fluid partially fixed at John Elway Cadillac, but there was still a leak.  The car shifter failed so I sent it to Mercedes-Benz Littleton and asked them to check thek powersteering leak also.  Conner Bappe said that it needed a new powersteering pump.  I asked that he put that in writing so that I could pass that information to John Elway Cadillac for a warranty repair.  Conner Bappe did not give me anything in writing even after 12 requests, making it difficult for me to deal with John Elway Cadillac.  Mike Hill, manager, would not call Conner Bappe to confirm his statements to me regarding powersteering pump needing replacement.  Further Mike said Conner is not a certified technician and there is no evidence that Mercedes-Benz Littleton looked at the leak problem. Mike Hill also said that nine times out of ten the seal on the back of the power steering reservoir is the culprit of fluid dripping from the pump and not the pump itself.

The BIG problem dealing with Mercedes-Benz Littleton is that they had an unqualified person, Connor Bappe, tell me that it needed a $893 repair apparently without looking at the car.  There was also no follow up assistance.

Mike Hill, Service Manager said the following:

I understand fully and will not be giving anything in writing in regards to a power steering pump leaking.

There are two reasons for this; 1.) Connor is no longer a representative  Connor is no longer a representative of Mercedes-Benz of Littleton and is not a certified technician. of Mercedes-Benz of Littleton and is not a certified technician. In that you’ve threatened internet homicide of both us and John Elway Cadillac, I’d expect attempted litigation wouldn’t be far behind. I can’t speak for John Elway Cadillac, but I’m not interested. 2.) The power steering reservoir sits on top of the pump and it would be difficult, if not impossible, to see the pump leaking without having the front belly pan off of the vehicle and the vehicle in the air to inspect it from the below. The front belly pan would not have been removed to replace the shift plate, and there is nothing in writing from the technician that worked on the car in regards to finding anything else visually wrong with the vehicle. Secondarily, nine times out of ten the power steering reservoir, or the seal on the back of the power steering reservoir is the culprit of fluid dripping from the pump and not the pump itself. But, as I’d mentioned, there was nothing noted, either electronically on the invoice or in writing on the hard copy repair order, by the technician that worked on your vehicle.
