These clowns came to fix my A/C. Told me that I needed gas and charged me $70/lb for gas. I found the gas online for $11.00/lb. Took a pile of money telling me they would be back the following day to see the results of the dye test. I called the company to ask what the price of gas was and they were not sure, maybe $90-100/lb? They knew their scam was up and could not tell me the basic price of gas as installed everyday. The service guys were told and so did not show up to see the results of the tests. Everyone that I spoke to is in on the scam-the service guys, the girl that answred the phone and the girl that they got to speak that couldnt say how much gas was. This is not an AC company it is a rip off scam.

On your response to this customer. You charged her over $400 for 2lbs of gas.....and say that is the going rate???? Then how can you be advertising $49.00 for 1lbs of gas solution to drain lines basic coil cleaning and 24 point inspection...doesn't sound right to me. Thankfully I decided to check you guys out before calling. The hunt for a good reputable company continues. Not call you guys!!!

You do realize that even though you may have found the gas online at a cheaper rate, it normally takes a trained individual to put that gas in your AC unit. It is a bit dangerous to do. A mistake can be costly. Since it is evident that you couldnt put the gas in yourself, lacking either the skill or equiptment, that means you had to pay someone to do it for you. And guess what, thats what it costs. So your basically upset that you had to pay the going rate for AC repair man to put the gas in your unit. Quoteing a online price for the cost of the gas is misleading. Thats what it costs on that website. Did you ask them where they get their gas from? Im certain you didnt. You probably called up bitching because you saw the difference in price and then forgot that it had to be installed by a trained professional. Really is common sense just that lacking in ppl today.....

Heres a better benchmark......call around to OTHER AC repair facilities and see how much they charge to put gas in a unit. That would be a FAIR assesment of how much you would pay.
