I bought a used 2002 Kawasaki Voyager motorcycle on 9/2/06 for 6000 dollars from Metro Motorsports in Glendale Arizona. The odometer read 25,532 miles.

After informed there was no documented maintenance record on the bike, I told the sales/finance person that I was very reluctant to buy a used motorcycle because of lack of a maintenance record.

The Finance Rep reassured myself that for 1748 dollars, I could buy an extended maintenance/warranty which would protect me from the risk of expensive repair costs of buying a used motorcycle.

I was told that if I had a mechanical breakdown anytime, anywhere and for any reason, that I would be covered from expensive repair and towing bills.

Well, almost 4 months to the day and 3000 miles later, my bike broke down and had to be towed at significance expense to myself to Las Vegas, Nevada from Hoover Dam. It was later shipped back to Glendale Arizona to the place I bought it at Glendale Metro Motorsports.

The General Manager of Metro, Bill Jeffery (BJ) informed me that I would have to pay the full cost of the repair and shipping charges and said that my warranty did not cover "this breakdown"
I later found out from the service dept. that I was looking at more than 1200 dollars cost of the above.

B.J. offered that he would fix my bike for free but I would have to give up my warranty in the process. This would leave me with paying a warranty of almost 600 dollars more then the repair and shipping costs

He also said I should have read the (fine print) on the warranty (instead of just listening to his finance person)

Bottom line, I was deceived about this warranty.

I was also told that my bike was thoroughly inspected before I bought it. When I bought my bike, I pointed out several minor oil and fluid leaks which were promised "We Owe" to be fixed after ordered parts arrived. After a dozen phone calls over the last several months, the leaks are still there as the promised seals were never ordered.

I am requesting that Glendale Metro Motorsports honor the warranty as it was presented to me, sans disclaimers other then the obvious: tires, bulbs etc.

The warranty as presented to myself covered any and all mechanical breakdowns within the drive train of my motorcycle. I also request that Metro Motorsports cover all shipping charges and reimburse myself for the 95 dollars I paid to have my motorcycle towed from Hoover Dam to Las Vegas, Nevada.
