I keep getting this text over and over: URGENT! you must upgrade your phone or you will have service interruption. You can likely upgrade for FREE (before taxes) at MetroPCS stores.
I went to a MetroPCS store about 3 months ago. My phone was dropping all calls after 40 seconds. The store rep said that I would have to purchase a new phone and mine was not eligible for any discounts regardless that this was a company merger problem. I would also require a new plan that is $10 a month. Well, she lied and my phone service returned to normal in about 3 days. I had a friend have a similar experience at another MetroPCS store at that same time. She broke down and gave into before she found out my service had returned to normal and it was a lie. (Her phone was fairly new)
After dealing with her, I have serious doubts that I will receive ANY free upgrade or even a credit since she was my Samsung phone.
Is this another high pressure scam?
I would really appreciate your help,
Janet
