Miami Dade College Financial Aid Department NO HELP AT ALL!!! miami, Florida

The financial aid department for miami dade college is no good. I am extremely stressed out because of them. Classes started Aug. 27th and on the 20th of August I went to the college to submit all of my financial aid documents. I had to come in person because they do not accept faxes, emails or phone calls. When I came to the financial aid office, a sign referred me to the library. There was a line about 50 feet from the entrance of the library. It was all for financial aid. The line turned out just to be a line to sign in to wait for an advisor. I was there for 5 hours just to turn in documents. It is OCTOBER 15th and I have not received my aid yet! I know I am going to get aid...

On the website my financial aid status is "pending approval"

I have called to speak with my campus' financial aid department and have NEVER gotten through to anyone! I can't even get a voicemail!!! GO AHEAD AND TRY TO CALL (305) 237-1058 (north campus) I have called everyday since september 20th. I call at all hours!

I had to go in person, wait about an hour and all they told me was that they are trying to get used to a new system and my application is still being processed.

I had to max out a credit card to pay for my tuition. The next terms registration has already begun and I still have no word about my money! I am stressed, depressed and anxious. I AM GOING TO TRANSFER OUT OF THIS SCHOOL! This school makes you hate the education system, hate the school and hate your life!!!

I can barely make my credit card payments now, all because of MDC! I dont know when or how I will pay for spring term. They have no regard for their students.

If they have too many students they need to hire more advisors... this is money and education you are dealing with!!
