Mickey Covertier Unqualified Laser Repair Technician & Scam Washington, DC Washington, DC

We hired Mr. Covertier's company, which apparently is him only, to repair our Cutera laser. He presneted himself to be a competent and qualified laser technician with lots of expereince. He told us he had all the tools and necessary technology to work on Cutera lasers, and again presneted himself very profesionally on the phone.

He arrvied to repair our laser, and spent considerable time to do so. He was very obvious about not wanting us to see the work he was doing, or watch. We found that a bit pecular. He did get the laser running that day, with quite a price tage. Many thousands of dollars.

However the laser then COMPLETELY quit on us just days later. When we contacted him, Mr. Covertier went on to explain to us that his repair had nothing to do with what was no going on with the laser now, and he was going to charge us AGAIN to come out and repair it. We then questioned him, as our laser was weak but working when he came in. He becam abbrassive, accusatory, and his tone completely changed when his work was questioned. Ultimately he refused to come back out and repair the his work, and all but hung up on us. 

We have now had a Cutera tech come out and evaluate the laser. Evidently Mr. Covertier not only did very little actual work, which he presented to be "rebuilding the head". He did not reassemble the laser properly, nor calibrate it properly, and the laser is now going to need repairs totalling over 10,000. The laser is totally unoperable, and very badly damaged.

This man is very manipulative, he constanlty avoided any questions about the actual work he was supposedly doing, had the audacity to accuse us of breaking our own laser, and simply became very rude and aggressive. 

I would highly caution anybody who values their equipment have this man near your practice. He is clearly not qulified, does not have all the tools to do the repairs correctly, and is very abusive and aggressive. Be careful, do your homework, and I suggest not using this guy. He really hurt us.
