I received a collection notice today from Midland Credit Management aka MCM that states the Original Creditor is: GE Money Bank. Never heard of them, and when I googled the name, nothing comes up which is my first red flag. Secondly, it's been years since I've received a collection notice, so why all of a sudden now? Second red flag. Thirdly, I don't recognize the amount as one of my previous past due bills from years ago. I think it's a scam.

Watch out for MCM

Watch out for these guys. Most of the time you'll get someone in India named Brian Smith or Josh Gales(hmmm). However, this un-customer friendly credit management company stinks to the high skies. They're in cahoots with Pressler & Pressler so watch out. If you can't come to an agreement with MCM - Pressler & Pressler isn't far behind. They're all nasty individuals who don't give a rats hooha's if you settle out of court. Why? Because Pressler & Pressler the bottomfeeders of the credit world buy their debts pennies on the dollar and then wipe out your bank account - unbeknownst to you. Beware of both of these companies. They should both rot in hell.

the specialize in buying old uncollected deb, then, they proceed to try and collect and maybe sue on it. I've done battle with them before.
