My mother in law filed bankrupsy back around 2004. A federal judge has completed the bankrupsy and shows that her house has been paid in full with a balance of 0.00 dollars owed. He has sent Midland Mortgage letters for the deed to be sent and they refuse to do it saying that 30,000.00 is still owed on the house. How can this be possible when in the beginning only 27,000 was owed? Now the are forclosing on her house. What is really strange is they show payments being made all the way till August 2010. Final payment was made back in September 2009 that was sent back by Midland Mortgage stating all payments had been made in full. What also is strange is she passed away in May of 2010 and now they are trying to get the house. My wife has faxed and mailed all copies of judges orders and statements to them and they are still proceding with the foreclosure. The mortgage was originally a VA loan and then sold to Midland Mortgage. They placed their own insurance on home due to situations with my mother inlaw. We had an ice storm back in 2002 and had severe roof damage where the entire roof should have been replace. They sent their adjuster out and she was only paid 1500.00 for all the damage. Midland is a ripoff mortgage company and will do anything they can to profit even from the elderly. Now how patriotic is our country to have this type of people taking advantage of low, fixed, or the elderly?
