Mifflin County Children and Youth Services Corruption with the System Lewistown Pennsylvania

I was involved with Mifflin County CYS since Summer of 2006 right after our son was born. Our youngest was born in 2007. We now had three beautiful children. They never removed my children until November 3, 2008. I do not understand why I was involved with them and had worse situtations before that removal date and yet my children remained in my home.

On November 3, 2008 I had called a good friend of mine that is certified by the state to take care of the elderly in a home setting. She sat with my three children while I ran to get diapers for my youngest daughter. When I returned she had told me that CYS was there for an inspection. I asked her if she let them in. She proceeded to tell me that they pushed her aside even though she reported to them that me or my husband was not home. She had told the caseworker that she could call me I was only a few minutes away. CYS proceeded to tell her that it was none of our f***ing business that they were there.

I became very upset. I was not even home ten minutes and there was a heavy, loud banging on my door. It was not even a knock. I opened the door and there stood my old caseworker with four state troopers. She told me they were removing my children because I hung out with upappropriate people. I asked them who they were talking about and when my children were ever alone with these individuals.

She then told me to get there things ready. She was in such a hurry that she took my youngest, mind you it is the beginning of November and she was not even 18 months old yet, outside with no pants or a blanket covering her legs. Now who is the bad person?

It took them over 3 weeks to get us a court hearing. Which I just found out is another violation. They are to have a court hearing within 72 hours and hav a visit scheduled the following week. We did not have that. We went almost a month without seeing our children.

In the spand of 13 months our visits went from overnights in the beginning to 1 hour visits in the office. Our children were not even in foster care the minimum of 15 months before they requested the courts for termination of rights. It was only 13 months.

On March 19, 2010 we had a fire that destroyed everything we owned including our childrens belongings. We had court on March 31, 2010. You can imagine when we went to court and CYS had told the judge that my husband was the one that started. The court room got so bad that our judge had told CYS to keep their mouths shut cause he wanted to hear our story. We got our decision back in June of 2010 and had our last visit in July 2010.

We had several violations besides these ones. It is very unjustified as to what they are doing. I wonder everyday what our children are doing and how they are being treated. We have no contact with them what-so-ever. When our rights were terminated and we had our last visit, I vowed to my children that I will fight until the day they come home. I am doing just that.

It is time for me and the 70 other families that were wrongfully done to EXPOSE, EXPOSE, EXPOSE and to make sure that the system is known to be corrupted and unfair.
