Mike Brightly Painting Breach of Contract Cheyenne Wyoming

As I am selling my Cheyenne residence to move out of state, I hired Mike Brightly Painting to repaint the interior of the home after we had vacated the premises to make it easier. His contract states, and I quote; "Repaint Interior of house one color. Bid includes all materials and labor." The interior was only partially painted leaving at least 25% of the work not done. I frantically called for 2 days starting Friday 6/27 at 10:46 AM Eastern Time. finally reaching him I complained since the day after he was supposed to be done painting, the house went on the market, I didn't learn about the unpainted rooms till after the listing was posted. I told him that since the house is listed and being viewed, I would need a refund because the house cant change after people look at it, he refused and said he would finish the job. Concerning a refund he stated, and I quote, "That's not going to happen". Today my realtor called and said there were two interested parties and painting after they viewed the premises would quench a deal; this is why I told Brightly he had to have completed the work as contracted in the time he was allowed. I called Brightly and told him of the situation and he said, and I quote from his text message, "Good sell your house and neither one of you (my realtor or I) call again...the only mess is from your listing agent." My agent is a professional who understands the mess Brightly made for us. I'm not sure what transpired between the agent and Brightly, but I'm assured that it was professional and NOT what Brightly wanted to hear.

Mr Brightly changes drastically when something doesnt go his way, he breached our contract then went off on me something horrible when I expected him to perform or refund for the wirk not com0pleted; a dangerious man to do business with in my opinion. I filed a complaint with the City of Cheyenne as he is licensed and a panel will review his actions,
