On March 22nd after a water damage claim, and being military affiliated for a home on the other side of the country. I contacted Miller Public Adjusters, was assigned David Day. He said it would be 10% from what was recovered, but he said this amount could also be paid if I went to a preferred contractor of his choice. During that time, he reached out to my bank PNC 3x and was explained, Public Adjusters were not paid until the final payment. He continued to state the amount. We even signed a contract stating the exact amount he was to get paid. I went with the first preferred contractor, they dropped the ball. The second I signed on with Sidello Property. Then Mr. David Day stated that was no longer honored, and they were dropping the price so I could reimburse him. During this time Mr. Day stated he was getting paid on both ends from me and the contractor. He even submitted request for payment on my behalf to speed up his payment as my representative before the work was done, my insurance company then notified me Dec 2nd. NO city inspection or Occupancy had been completed on unfinished house. On Dec 24th after 2 emails and phone calls, and also after previous inspections, without completion of contract Mr. Day and the contractor begin calling me threatening to put liens on property though they were aware inspections were always required for final payment in email and telephone. Currently Mr. David Day refuses to turn over payment for check, and gave me 2 options. One to sign the check and the other to write a personal check for the last invoice they sent me over 6k.

 

Once I questioned his boss about the questionable actions (David Miller) he raised the price another $1000. In addition I received vulgar text and threats from David Day. The end result for the fraud, the DATCP issued Sidlle Contractors and Miller Public Adjusters a Warning letter. DATCp FILE 56640 is now recorded. They also told them to correct their actions, and if they did not, the DATCP could still pursue legal action for all their false actions.

Retraction of Partial Statement

In response to Mr. Millers letter I just received dated 5/3/2016. Miller Public Adjusters was NOT found guilty of Fraud as they fall outside of the DATCP, the contractor they referred was cited for Wisconsin Admin Code ATCP 110.02(11) / 110.027(1)/ and Wis Stat 100.195(2)(B) with warningas part of file. I did interpret this previously wrong as letter I received stated both parties uner DATCP file. All documentation for file under DATCP file does include both parties, except Warning letter and findings against Miller Public Adjusters for those circumstance previously mentioned. All other statements  made were true to the best of my knowledge.

False Claims BY Miller Public Adjusters

 In response to claims reporting removal by company owner David Miller, this is false which is why when report was submitted to RIP OFF Report I enclosed all text messages and letters from DATCP along with record from DATCP which threatened legal action against Miller Public Adjusters. If and whenever I receive any defamation claims as consumer I will respond. Until then consumers check records with DATCP (Department of Agriculture Trade and Consumer Protection) before doing business with this company. Also the claim was escalated to the DATCP from BBB due to lack of response by MILLER PUBLIC ADJUSTERS, never removed. They were also paid in full for their lack of service. Remember if you are a Wisconsin consumer, they (public adjusters) are not regulated by Wisconsin law, this is why they run their business this way.

I, David Miller, am responding to the complaint filed against Miller Public Adjusters on March 19th.   The statements made about my company were not only false, they were defamatory in nature and this complaint has caused irreparable harm to my business and reputation. Miller Public Adjusters went over and above for this client to ensure they got everything they were entitled to under their homeowner's policy.  We disagree with all the statements and accusations that in this complaint.

This same complaint was filed with the DATCP and BBB. They were both removed once they were found out to be false complaints. The owner agreed, by email, to have the agencies remove the complaints.  Since the Ripoffreport.com will not remove these false complaint once posted, even if the owner agrees it's false, Miller Public Adjusters is currently filing suit for defamation against Mr. Jackson.
