Studio City Workout Club - Miquel Ochoa defrauds by selling 1-2 year memberships to his Gym right before he closes the facility, ripoff Toluca Lake California

-FRAUD at Miguel Ochoa's Studio Workout Club-
Sales were going strong for new gym memberships to the Studio Workout Club the week of September 10th, when unkowing victims found out that the gym was closing the following week. Miguel Ochoa, president of Studio Workout Club, continued to sell 1 & 2 year memberships while at the same time, making arrangements to close his business. Stunned members and employees only got the news several days before Studio Workout closes its doors, which is Wednesday, September 14, 2005. No refund is available/offered.

Some members also suspect that the membership list has been sold to a third party, because of a telephone scam circulating that attempts to obtain bank and routing information for an "Internal Revenue Service Grant Program."

To their credit, another facility is negotiating with members to transfer membership to the Powerhouse Gym in North Hollywood, but the thousands of dollars worth of up-front sales that occurred for one and two year memberships, are in Ochoa's pocket. It is rumored that Ochoa plans to open a new gym in San Diego, CA.
