I received a charge of $9.99 in my Feb 2009 bill from Unicel (to be Verizon soon) from MBMSG and after calling my cell phone service provider, I received a number to call and cancel this service. Automated phone system asked for my cell number and told me that my service as cancelled.

The interesting thing is that I NEVER subscribed to this service in the first place, so I did some search and found out this company MBMSG has settled in law-suit for $12M this past December. Here is the link(((link redacted)))

I called Unicel again and with this info on hand, they credited me for the $9.99 charge. If this happens again next month, I will get an attorney and file a law suit agains this company.

Companies like Mobile Messenger with their sick business model are responsible for our economic melt down. Now all these jobless and homeless people suffer while the execs in these ripp off companies make millions. It makes me sick to see the human's brian and energy goes to waste with businesses like MOBILE MESSENGER.

Mobile Messenger is a premium text message service that is initiated through various websites. This is a multi step process that begins with the customer entering his/her mobile number into the website, when the number is submitted a pin number is sent to their cell phone. The customer must then enter the pin back into the website and check the box that states that they have read and approve the terms and conditions . Once all steps are completed the customer is subscribed and sent a text message confirming subscription, informing the customer how to end services by simply texting the word stop to the short code provided, and charging the customer the fee that was approved upon the checking of the terms and conditions box. Depending upon the service and location of the customer, they are charged on a daily, weekly or monthly basis until stop is submitted or the customer contacts us and asks to be unsubscribed.

We at Mobile Messenger would like to assist you with your concern or complaint. If you need assistance in regards to being unsubscribed or other related issues, please do not hesitate to contact us. Please call 1-800-416-6129 Monday to Friday 0600 1800 US Pacific Time or email escalationsus@sms-helpdesk.com
