moneybookers ltd thepowerlevel.com unauthorized fraudulent charges Internet

Today I was notified of a transaction on my card from moneybookers lt. I immediately called the bank and cancelled my card. I then called a number on moneybookers' website 18884441107 to dispute.

The site said the number was Brooklyn, NY, but definitely was not. The woman had trouble understanding me, but did understand the words "credit card", and immediately asked for my cc number. I laughed and, after more miscommunication, hung up.

I took a breath and called again; another barely-understandable woman answered. I asked to speak to her supervisor, she told me there was none available and after a few seconds of cellphone cutting out, she hung up on me.

I immediately called back. A man with better English answered and offered to to assist. I explained to him that someone had used their service and my credit card to make a fraudulent purchase. I would not give him the card information, but he was able to find the transaction by using my name and the amount of the purchase.

He said the purchase was made on www.thepowerlevel.com by customer id#xxxxxxx. He also said they would return my money and investigate the issue further. Somehow I dont believe him. (to be continued...)
