We bought furniture from Ashley Furniture and they encouraged us to buy the extended warranty that was going to cover just about everything on our leather furniture.  We normally don't buy the extended warranty on furniture but they said it was going to cover Everything that could happen to our furniture.

We just called the company to report damage to our furniture and everything we reported they looked for ways to say that wasn't covered!  They said it was over 14 days so Sorry, not covered.  They said, sounds like this happened in a move so Sorry, not covered! 

Are you serious!  No matter what we tried to report to the company they had a loophole as to why it wasn't covered and I am not happy since the guy at Ashley said all of these things would be covered. 

Finally I asked the lady what did they cover since they ended up phrasing the problems in a way that made it not under warranty.  This is a big rip off and they don't want to do the work that you bought the warranty for. 

Save your money and don't get this warranty!  They do a lot of double talk and you will just end up frustrated!

I understand your frustration if you're being told by the store everything should be covered. Unfortunately, montage is not affiliated with the store, so we have no control over what the sales reps tell you when buying the protection plan. I'm sorry to hear that your claim was denied. Your always able to speak with a supervisor if you feel the review team was not standing behind what the protection plan states. 

 

As far as the 14 days goes. Each protection plan states a specific time reporting period in which damages need to be reported within from the time you first notice the damage. It is the buyers responsibility to READ your protection plan. The customer service representatives do NOT gain anything from denying you of your claim. It is important that you take time to read your plan so that way we are better able to assist you. 

 

We, just like you, are bound by the terms and conditions of the plan. The plans are very specific on what is and is not covered. Also keep in mind montage does not make or sell the furniture. So that means we DO NOT stand behind the way the product holds up over time. So if the store sold you junk we can't do anything about that. What we can so though is protect you against accidents like stains, rips, burns and a many list of other types of damages that are listed under what is covered section of your protection plan. If after biting the plan you don't feel it's right for you, your always able to request a refund and a cancelation of your plan.
