montecito skin care joanns.com Rapid Fulfillment Inc. This is a scam! Henderson Nevada

This company's site is fraudulent.  On 12/22/15 my lady friend and I went into a local Jo-Ann's fabric store and wanted to see if they had any coupons on their site.  I went to joanns.com and immediately saw a pop up that stated if I completed a survey on Jo-Ann's stores I could get a free item worth $89.  

We completed the survey and were given a choice between products and chose an anti-wrinkle cream.  The whole time we were made to believe we were being directed by Jo-Ann's so I went ahead and entered my Visa# (I know! I know!) and information to cover the $4.95 shipping charge for a 14 day trial.  

When I got to the confirmation page, I read the terms which stated that they would send a refill of the anti-wrinkle cream monthly for $89.  I DID NOT click the confirm button!  Instead, there was a link below it that said something to the effect that you could cancel the order as I changed my mind.  

On 1/4/16 I received an email from Montecito Skin Care support saying they were confirming my order for $99.95. I telephoned them at 877-375-9028 to ask why they are billing me when just today I received their order.  The man stated that the 14 days had passed from the date of ordering.  I disputed that being I just received it and had no opportunity to do the trial, on top of the fact that I never confirmed the order in the first place.  He said he would cancel my repeat orders and gave me a return# and return address if I wanted to get a full refund.

I told him I should not have to pay for the $4.95 shipping nor the return shipping being that I never confirmed the order.  He said I'd have to pay for it anyway.  I would have refused the shipment in the first place IF it said Joanns.com or Montecito Skin Care on it, but they are such scammers that they had it sent from yet another name, Rapid Fulfillment Inc. of Pacoima, CA so I had thought it was something else I ordered from Amazon stores.  Now I "have to" pay to ship it back with tracking!

They did try to offer a 50% discount, but knowing they defrauded me disgusts me, so I want NOTHING to do with them.  I can't believe there aren't more complaints on joanns.com.  I emailed Jo-Ann's Fabrics via their real site at joann.com to complain as well though they are apparently not affiliated at all.  

Interestingly, joanns.com shows you the survey pop up the first time you go to their page.  Try it a second, third or more times and you'll see they change the page you go to every time you try to go back in to check the cancelation link and terms.  It seems they monitor your IP address to be sure you aren't able to prove their fraud.  

Also, if you go to www.montecitoskincare.com and click on their Customer Service link, then the "Easy Cancel" button, you will see it goes to a blank page with the text "We are sorry! The link you clicked on to reach this page was misconfigured."  How convenient!

SUMMARY:

Joanns.com is NOT related to Jo-Ann's Fabrics (they have joann.com).  Joanns.com links you to many optional "free" trials that turn into subscriptions BUT joanns.com will block you from that survey option on your future visits, apparently based on your IP address.

Montecito Skin Care tricks you into clicking the link not to confirm your order when you see their monthly terms, yet STILL sends the order and enrolls you into their subscription program at more than they originally advertised.
