This firm bought an old debt. The got the judgement in 2005 which was 6 years after the last activity on the account. The SOL had run out but that didn't stop them. They got a garnishment judgement in 2005 collected a couple of times until I moved employment. I didn't hear anything else from them until I got a settlement letter one month and then when I didn't respond to that they started the garnishment again.
I am getting ready to leave my employment again to return to school and have tried to contact them twice in writing to make an offer that is within $1600 of what they wanted to settle for by March 31, 2009. This garnishment has caused me to take on another job and I'm offering them $3000 certified funds on an orginal debt of $1400 and they won't answer. I bet they didn't even pay $100 for this.
I wonder how they sleep at night.
