I was suffering from an accute medical condition that was being treated as cancer, although no doctor had ever diagnosed it as such since they did not know what "it" was. The symptoms were a growth inside my larynx and vocal chords. It prohibited me from inhaling and would cause incredible pain.. but quite honestly it was the scariest thing I've ever dealt with. I went to Intermountain Health Care's facility in Riverton, Utah and had a CT scan which was then read by a Mountain Medical Employee who failed to read the CT scan properly. The person read the CT as far as the neck, spine and upper shoulders but never paid any attention to what the order was, to read into the specifics of the throat, larynx and vocal chords. it was noted that "every thing appeared normal" however a host of doctors at IHC dissagreed and so ordered another CT scan to be preformed at a different facility. That CT scan returned very different results which showed the growth I mentioned above. The growth was removed in a quick procedure and done very professionally by the operating staff at IHC. However, Mountain Medical is continuing to say that I, IHC or the Insurance company owes them for the CT Scan of which they read improperly.

On top of their misjudgement during that time they have also failed miserably to properly inform me who was being charged for this mis-service. And so, even when they have been supplied with my direct cell phone number, they cast my bill into collections. Upon calling their billing department they aknowledge they did not ever try to reach me by phone and they also said they had no record of ever hearing back from IHC, who said they would transfer teh charges to them and then not charge me at all. THis entire process has repeated itself 3 times now and every time Mountain Medical fails to update their system and so my credit has been irrepairably harmed by thier mis-service and poor communication.

If you plan to work with Mountain Medical be prepared to be treated unfairly as well as be asked to treat customers with the poorest respect imagineable. I will never use Mountain Medical in the future and I will always ask that a different Department to work with if I ever have to go to IHC again. Avoid Mountain Medical at all costs. The time alone is not worth it.
