Add another victim to the number of people that went out to our beautiful Temescal Canyon to enjoy an afternoon with nature and left with a souvenir of that visit, which would arrive several weeks later: a videotape of me not coming to a full stop at a t-intersection dirt road with unobstructed view, along with a $100.oo ticket.  Interesting thing is that there are two driveways leading into the first parking lot into the park from Sunset Blvd., the southernmost one is where the camera is as well as the stop sign.  However, one goes another 100 yards or so north of that entry, and one comes to the last driveway into the very same lot.  Except this driveway doesn't even have a stop sign, much less a camera! In other words if one exited from that driveway, one would not have to stop at all!

While looking into this, I ran into this website and several others, full of emails from indignant recipients of the same 'souvenir', all courtesy of the Mountain Roegional Conservation Authority (MRCA).

I was given the option to request a hearing, right, like I'm going to benefit from their bsetenevolence.

Anyway, another citizen being abused by what is basically an outlawed citation in our City - I guess the park is some type of autonomous entity that runs its own for of abusive practices.

By now you are probably wondering, well, did he pay it?  Answer:  NO!

Add another victim to the number of people that went out to our beautiful Temescal Canyon to enjoy an afternoon with nature and left with a souvenir of that visit, which would arrive several weeks later: a videotape of me not coming to a full stop at a t-intersection dirt road with unobstructed view, along with a $100.00 ticket.  The video shows the illumination of my brake lights, which does not indicate that I came to a full stop, I must have crawled thru at maybe 2 mph. So, if you ever visit this park, just exit the lot using the latter.

While looking into this, I ran into this website and several others, all full of emails from indignant recipients of the same 'souvenir', all courtesy of the Mountain Regional Conservation Authority (MRCA).

I was given the option to request a hearing, right, like I'm going to benefit from their bsetenevolence.

Anyway, another citizen being abused by what is basically an illegal citation in our City - I guess the park is some type of autonomous entity that runs its own set of abusive practices.

By now you are probably wondering, well, did he pay it?  Answer:  No, at least not yet (I have until Feb., 16th.)  Not until I know that my credit is not going to be affected, or that I'm not going to be hounded 24/7 by collectors.  I have also learned on this site that the collectors can not access social security numbers from the DMV, if so, they can not file a negative report to the credit bureaus, right?

Any informed advice before the due date would be immensely appreciated!
