Moving Cross Country, INC. lost and destroyed roughly 5 thousand dollars worth of property then fired the claim specialists we filed a claim with to get our things replaced. Linden New Jersey

From start to finish, this moving ordeal has been just that, an ordeal. This company demanded double what were were quoted when they came to move our things. they were late in delivering our things, and only had HALF of our things,.. then we were told that the other half was on ANOTHER truck... so due to THIER negligence of not showing up with the right size truck to begin with, we had to wait for the second truck, and it too was not only late, but the movers on this truck were unbelievably unprofessional. 

They told us for a week straight that they would be there "tomorrow between 3-6 pm." so we lost work wages waiting around all week for them. then when they finally did show up, they insisted that the truck they brought, couldnt fit into our neighborhood, even though several of these trucks, larger ones in fact, have come in and out of here OFTEN. It just happened to be late, and they didnt feel like working,.. on a friday evening, to move our things in. 

they told us, (mind you, after they had already been paid in FULL, 1/2 cash and half on a CC for 10 thousand dollars!!) that we would need to rent a truck, or pay them to get another truck,(another 400-500 dollars!!) and then move our things from one truck to another, in a motel parking lot, and then they would gladly deliver our things to us on saturday, but they didnt know what time...!?! 

We decided to rent a uhaul, so that we would KNOW what time, and go meet them at the shady hotel parking lot, to get our things off their truck. it cost us more money, and aggravation, and WE HAD TO move our things in our home ourselves, after already paying the company for DOOR TO DOOR service! 

The majority of our belongings were damaged. i have pictures. and the rest of our things were missing. a flat screen tv for instance. just gone. no answer as to where it went. they admittedly wrote on our sheet that it was missing, but couldnt tell us how or why. 

We then proceeded to contact them about submitting a claim for our lost and damaged items, and they sent us to a company called CSI (Claims Service International) to submit our claim. it took me a few months to gather all the necessary info for this company, what with a large cross country move, and full time jobs etc.,...  i finally submitted our claim last week, and just yesterday recieved an email from CSI stating that Moving Cross Country terminated them, and id have to call MCC to find out who to submit a claim with. 

unbelievable. 

if I could sue these people, I certainly will. the time and money and aggravation and stress that this ordeal has put on myself and my family is beyond words. 

do yourself a favor and DO NOT hire them. 

ive been trying to contact Moving Cross Country to find out who i should contact to submit a claim, but of course no one answers the phones.  

this is not a company. its a joke. I originally hired "first call movers" to handle the move... and they sent out these jokers.

so if youre dealing with FIRST CALL MOVERS you may want to be sure they do not choose MOVING CROSS COUNTRY for you...
