Mozilla Firefox is now doing stealth "upgrades" to your browser and downloading spurious things to your computer.

It happens when you start Firefox and see the "Checking compatibility of addons" info box and progress indicator.

When it finishes you have a new version of Firefox with junk all over the toolbar you carefully configured. It version 29.something.

Beware and don't trust Mozilla like in the past.  You have been warned.  I suggest keeping an install file for 15.0 handy.

If you go to 'tools', 'options', 'advanced' you will see options for updates.  You can decide what you want Firefox to do with new updates there.
