I worked for a man named Cass West. He is the current owner of "mr. good all services," and my former employer. This company is suppose to be exactly as it sounds, all services provided. When he hired me I was hired into the position of "cleaning supervisor," at a salary of $25.00 an hour. A few days later I come to find out; I am in fact his ONLY cleaner.
I began working for Cass west in early September, at this time he stated he had only been in business for roughly eight months. I found out about Cass West because he hired my significant other to be a plumber on his crew. After working with him for a few days it became apparent he had no source of transportation and I became his personal taxi service; even going as far as picking him up from home in the morning.
The more days that passed it became apparent that there was no organization to this company. Mr. Cass West did not even own a day timer, and would plan a schedule that was impossible for the staff members. We were understaffed and he continued to try to book jobs. This is when I brought a fellow cleaner on board with us, at Cass's request.
With another cleaner on board everything seemed to be going smoothly, until we inquired about pay day. He told us pay day was going to be at the end of every month, with a pay advance on the 15th. We then inquired about potential benefits, which he said he was planning to have by November 2012.
As time went on it became closer to the 15th and Cass mentions we will not be getting paid until the end of the month. When I inquired why he said he didn't have the money because all of his cleaning contracts paid at the end of the month. However I must remind you that he provided many other services which paid him throughout the month. We even provided our own money for materials which he promised to pay back, and never did.
He then ran out of cleaning jobs, and occupied our time with driving him around to run errands. In total I put 900kms on my car in less then a month, driving him around and picking him up. To keep it short and sweet, I could not tolerate the lack of incompetence or lack of organization.
The straw the broke the camels back would have been the phone call I overheard between him and his accountant. His accountant stated he had roughly $800.00 in his business account. This is when I realized I needed to get out, before I wasted anymore time; I quit. Simply telling him if he could gain steady cleaning jobs I would come back to work for him. We agreed upon September 29th to be the official pay date; September 29th came and went with no sign of a pay check.
At this time Cass was still responding to my text messages and phone calls; each time responding with another elaborate excuse as to why he didn't have the money. I then got very angry with him, explaining to him that I deserved the money he owned me. At this time he tells me that he has sent the pay checks in the mail, and we can wait for them. They never came.
ALL IN ALL. This is just a warning to everyone in the Edmonton area to stay away from "mr good all services" and CASS WEST.

any thing filed about mr good all services is not true and the people reporting were fired from stealing company property and currently the people reporting are just reporting lies to slander company and i advise u not to hire them they will steal coompany property and will not do work and steal and report false ohours worked so ignore all information

Customer gwen still trys to ripped off companys not pay and wants labour for free and if ever called by her ask for money and deposit up from will ripped u off then get u to do work and make it look like its not done and expect people too work for free

Note a customer nsmed gwen has phonr several cleaning companys inquireing about services then wants too payto company too do hslf a*s job snd then try too tipped them off when services sre completed includes trsdes snd cleaning services rtc do beware of phone number that starts with 293 and shes currently looking for painter on new house so use all caution dont fo any wotk unless paid by her:(

I just filed a complaint regarding Cass West and Mr Good All Services. I was scammed for $300 and forced to take unplanned time off work to finish a cleaning job that he didn't complete. :(

I worked some side jobs for this fool backin June/July 2012. The work was basic mudding, taping, and painting, and the job site was an empty house. After meeting and working with the owner Cass West, it became quickly apparent that he did not have a working knowledge of how to do basic mudding and sanding but also the time frame required to complete areas of the house or the house complete.
After working with Cass West for A couple hours, I noticed that he did not have near enough primer to complete the house. SO!!! He asks me to take him to a local Walmart to buy the needed primer... It's funny that a general reno / maintenance contractor needs a ride. This sort of thing went on during the 6 days I worked for Cass West. (Work was done on sat and sun over 3 weekends). Having to drive him or go pick up material for this project. Most of the time Cass West was a no show on the job site or when he did it was to meet up with the house owner. When Cass West did show and talk to the owner, it was for the owner to complain about the lack of progress.
So the end of the month comes and it's payday! Trying to get a pay cheque out of him was nearly impossible, and when I did, the cheque was very generic. It had no buisness address or buisness info., Cass' signature looked like it was written by a 4 year old, and was post dated for an additionial 5 days. So I deposit the cheque, after 5 days and it bounces.
In a nutshell:
1. Mr Good All Services is a scab company owned and operated by Cass West
2. Cass West does not nor intends on paying his employees
3. Cass West does not own a vehicle or drive a vehicle.
4. Cass West takes the bus and will use the bus to transport building material
5. The address listed for Mr. Good All Services is wrong. Cass West will not give out his or the correct company address.
