This website offer to sale car specialty plates but if you order when your registration is due the website offer to renew the registration too. So they charged $ 86.00 for the specialty plate and another $ 86.00 for registration.

Since May 7 to June 27 I tried several times to either get my car plate and/or the registration.

First they told me

1) since I made the order in May 07 and my registration must be renewal by June I had to wait until June otherwise they will charge me another $ 30

2) June got here and I still not receiving my plate and/or my registration...They told me they runned out of the specialty plate that I order and they apologyzed for that

3) Middle of June again still not having enough plate so they can send my.

4) June 27th they sent an email I should have my plate already since it was send 06/05/2014. Guess what? I haven't receive any plate or registration.

No one had answer my phone calls and /or my emails. My boyfriend went to the address and they are a california company with a ghost office in south florida.I have every single email since May 7 to June 27 saved in case of anyone want to see it.

Order was processed and shipped

AUTHOR: MyFloridaSpecialtyPlate - ()

POSTED: Tuesday, July 22, 2014

The customer's order was processed by an authorized florida Tax collector's office and shipped to the person who is registered as the first owner on the vehicle. All fees were paid and the license plate was properly titled to the vehicle. The customer complains that she/they did not receive the license plate. Normal procedure in the case of a lost tag is to file an Affidavit of Lost Tag. We have sent the Form to the customer to comply with state law and we are awaiting completion of the form so that a replacement tag can be issued and registered to the vehicle.

Unfortunately, this is just a case of the license plate either being lost in the US mail, or not received by the complainant. There is not much that can be done in this instance other than what we have tried to do. We cannot cancel the transaction once the tag is licensed to the cutomer's vehicle. We have sent the Form to both licensed vehicle owners to request that the procedure mandated by state law is followed and we will continue to assist until this matter is resolved.

The funds were already transmitted to the florida Department of Motor Vehicles and we have sent a copy of the receipt and registration to the customer so that if she gets stopped, there will be no issue.

We have 15 emails between the 2 parties - together with some emails from the customer's boyfriend, who says he is US Marine, which cannot be published here.

We stand ready to resolve the customers issue, but need the customer to comply with state law and complete the form that was sent to her.

The legitimate website for Florida Motor Vehicle Registration Renewals is less expensive and easy to use

AUTHOR: FloridaNative - ()

POSTED: Wednesday, July 16, 2014

The legitimate website is actually less expensive and easy to use. The renewal letter you get gives you the information to renew online at your county's tax collector website. For example, looks like you are in Miami-Dade County and that (legitimate) website is:  miamidade.gov/taxcollector/motor-vehicle-renewals.  If you are in another county, just substitute your county name + motor vehicle registration renewal to find the proper website.  Notice it is a dot gov site and NOT a dot com site. If you are renewing through anything other than the legitimate government website than it is a scam.

Since you have been scammed, I would report it to the police (file a report) and report it to the FTC. You might want to file a small claims case to get a refund. Keep your emails to show as proof to the judge. Do your due diligence on the owners of the bogus site so you sue them personally too. It is a small amount but if you get a judgement you can collect on the judgment.

In the meantime, make sure you renew your tag on the legitimate site because you are past your renewal date now according to your post.
