This company offers subscriptions to popular magazines at a greatly reduced rate. Their agreement says that "after the first term, all selections will continue. Each year, you'll receive a reminder notice and you authorize the account you provided to be charged the rate on the notice for the next year of issues unless you choose to cancel: 1-800-927-9578."

Prior to the end of the first term, no reminder notice is provided and the magazine(s) are automatically extended for another year, the credit card is charged, and the subscriber has neither been notified nor have they given authorization for the transaction.

Calling the '800-number' gives you an opportunity to cancel and you are told that you will receive a refund for magazines which you have not received. You do not receive a refund nor is the subscription stopped.

The '800' number is automated and there is no opportunity to talk to a human.

This is clearly a ripoff.
