Well, this credit card fraud ring seems to be evolving in their schemes.I don't live on the east coast, and haven't been to the east coast in over 6 months. I certainly never visited a gas station while I was there, I fly.

This nonexistant company charged only 130 dollars to my credit card, BUT there were also 4 or 5 other fraudalent companies charging a little over $100 a piece. Clearly they've learned they can't charge $500 in one setting with one company without raising suspicions, and waiting for 200 dollars per month to come in is time consuming, so, now we have about 4 fraudulent companies they can charge to the credit card, make 500 easy and hopefully go under the radar. Thank God for my credit card co. who caught the charges!

The only thing I can pin it to, is that this week I made two charges to smaller companies online with my credit card that I suspect could have been easily hacked. Hindsight is 20/20 I guess. The only other connection I can make is that I changed the card on my paypal account. This must be harder to hack, so maybe someone is telling them card no. from the inside. Big company, lots of people... wouldn't be too hard to pay someone off for some info.

Anyway, I hope this helps someone, or at least makes them feel slightly better knowing they've found some comraderie... Hey, they got me too. Live and Learn, right?
