My credit card number was apparently stolen when I made an online purchase from Amazon.com and used for an unauthorized purchase of $230 from Myfamilyancestry.com, a supposedly non-existing website.
I have cancelled that card and today will file a fraud alert with the credit reporting companies.

My bank statement showed that MyFamilyAncestry was where the purchase was made. But the phone number was to www.ancestry.com. They were very helpful when I called and the purchase was blocked. I have contacted their Fraud Prevention team to attempt to get the name and address of the thief who used my card number. Hopefully they will get this info to me so I can contact law enforcement. I am not confident the police will do anything at all about internet crime or credit card fraud.
