www.myscore.com screwed me bigtime and I didn't even know it.  I randomly checked my bank account yesterday and realized I had a $29.95 charge from www.myscore.com that I didn't purchase.  When looking further I realized they charged me that amount EVERY month for the past year and a half plus $79.95 five times a year ago.  Over $700 in charges I never knew exsisted.

I checked their website and there is no place to email their customer service or cancel your membership.  It only gives a phone number to call.   I called the number they provided and a lady answered who proceeded to talk without letting me talk for about 20 minutes.  I ended up in an arguement with her because she said the $79.95 charges couldn't be www.myscore.com 's because they ONLY charge $29.95 a month.

I tried to explain to her that I got the $79.95 charges from my apparent membership billiing info on their website but she kept telling me it wasn't their charge.  I asked for her manager and she put me on hold and I stayed there for 30 minutes.  I called back and another gentleman picked up and asked what I was calling about.  I said I just wanted to cancel my membership.  Before I could finish my sentence he put me on hold.

So I called back a 3RD TIME.  I told this lady not to put me on hold and that I wanted to cancel my membership that I apparently signed up for 2 years ago and was billed every month for $29.95 even though I never once used their website.   She canceled my membership but only after trying to get me to RE-SIGNUP twice for a new membership.  I told her that her company was shady as heck and that this wasn't the correct way to treat people and that they were stealing peoples money without them knowing it.

I asked to be refunded but she and her manager said that because I signed up for a 7 day trial membership 2 years ago and never canceled my membership that I knew that I was a member.  READ THE FINE PRINT before signing up for trial memberships.

I also found out that I was being charged $25.95 a month for 6 months from www.creditreport.com that I also didn't know about but that was a completely different company but basically the same information.

For multi million dollar company to not have a customer service email on their website shows alot about how that company works.  All 3 customer service reps I talked to knew exactly what to say for my questions which means that they are trained on what to say to compaints because they must receive millions of them.

The only one who screwed you is..

AUTHOR: Robert - ()

The only one who has screwed you is YOU.

I randomly checked my bank account yesterday and realized

- Randomly?  Responsible adults do NOT just look at their statements randomly.  They reconcile them at least every month to make sure that what they have in their register matches what the bank says.  Oh you don't keep a register either..what a surprise.

Because guess what if you acted like a responsible adult you would have caught this the first month it happened.  There could have been a chance where you could claim you didn't sign up for it and may have had your bank credit it.  But after this amount of time the responsibility becomes 100% yours.

READ THE FINE PRINT before signing up for trial memberships.

- This goes into the DUH category.  Do you make it a habbit of not reading what you are signing?   What do you think they wanted your credit card for, just for the fun of it?  NO..it was because after the trial they are going to charge you.  Oh and as for reading the fine print..that goes for ANYTHING you sign whether it is on-line or on paper.

You probably should go through your statement and make sure that you have no other charges you don't recongnize.  At the very least hopefully will cause you to be a bit more responsible in managing your accounts from now on.

No ripoff here

Just because you didn't read the contract before clicking I Agree doesn't mean they ripped you off.  It is standard practice for any trial membership to begin billing you after the trial period is over, unless you cancel before the end of the trial.  That is why they ask for your credit card information.  Maybe next time you will actually read what you are agreeing to.

Oh, and how do you lose $700 over two years and not know about it?  If I were to lose 1¢ I would know within 2 - 3 weeks when I balance my checkbook.

By your own admission, You admit you have signed up for the trial? If so, Then you gave them your credit card information so you had to know that when the trial was up they would start billing your account.  My thought would be you probably forgot about it and when you checked your bank account you noticed how much you have been paying. Any adult that uses the internet knows when your sign up for a trial, Especially one that requies credit card information to be entered. Then you will eventually start being billed for something after the trial period is over. That is with anything.
