I bought a used vehicle at Napleton Infiniti under the presumption that the car had never been painted. The Lexus LS460L that I purchased based off the words of Billy Strickland and Nick Salerno.

When I received the car the facts are as follows: The silver car was painted on the trunk and on 2 doors plus the tires on the car are not factory spec.

I dont understand have you can sell a car that has a lifetime warranty and not have the proper tires on the vehicle.

At the end of the day I was sold a car that was suppose to be a pristine car at a pristine price...well i paid the price in more ways than one.

This dealer give the car business a bad name because of the false statements made during our dealings.

as to your statements that napleton is not credible and are crooks is completely false nick salerno and pete grinnell are my former employers and are very honest and extreamly credible in this industry and the fees described above are fees every dealership in the country has to cover filing of title work warranties etc. industry standard is $995.00 so before you make false statements you and the above individuals should do your homework! contrary to what you have stated i do not under any circumstances believe for one second that neither pete nor nick have tried to make you a happy customer! but at the end of the day there will always be people such as yourself that no matter what a dealership does to make you happy it will never be enough! it must be the way you live your lives but the people you are slamming in this dont deserve the false acusations you are throwing around grow up lift your skirt and grab your balls and be men about it!

This rebuttal is simply lie after lieeven more evidence of the fact I have purchased a vehicle from a dealership that isnt ethical.  Mr. Salerno and I havent spoken on multiple occasions and the fact of the matter is, I have called the dealership several times since the car was delivered to me and I get passed around because no one has authority to make decisions and none of my calls are returned.  Im only getting a response here because I
made this situation public knowledge.

First off, Mr. Salerno, you dont even know how your company acquired the LS460L that I purchased from you.
A dealer in Ohio owned the vehicle and sold it to a buyer in Florida.  The deal fell through and rather than having the car returned to Ohio, the dealer ran the car through the Manheim auction in Tampa where Napleton Infiniti purchased the car.  I found the vehicle on line immediately after he had sold the car to your dealership in the auction and the only reason he told me how much the car sold for was because he was frustrated at your
dealership for not returning his calls (imagine that).  Of course I used the fact that I knew what the car sold for in my negotiations to purchase the car.  However, at the end of the day I decided to pay the $4k premium for the car because (1) I had been looking for this vehicle for quite some time (2) I received a clean carfax and (3) I was ensured the car had all original paint no paint work because that was the only way I would purchase the car.

When I took delivery of the car, I immediately noticed the trunk of the car had imperfections in the paint.  I took the car into my local Lexus dealership and they confirmed the trunk had been painted as well as two of the doors.  During one of my first calls to the dealership to discuss the condition of the car, Mr. Salerno did get on the
phone.  He told me I was lying about the paint and the car had left his dealership in pristine condition.  I said that was BS hence his comment about my cursing and acting unprofessional.  Im not sure that replying that was BS was such a huge deal considering I had just paid $44K for a vehicle and I was lied to about the conditionand receiving no customer service.

As for Mr. Salernos comment about me being bitter that I paid too much for the car, I dont think Im hurting for $2K dollars if I purchased a car sight unseen for $44K.  I am a loyal Lexus owner and own two Lexus vehicles, one with over 250K miles.  I made the conscious decision to pay a premium for this vehicle because I wanted
it; however, I wanted it in the condition I was told it was NO PREVIOUS WORK.  I dont need your $2K in my pocket Mr. Salerno.what I need is for you to stand by the vehicles you sell and simply pay the $$ to appropriately fix the trunk and doors.  You can make the check payable to Johnson Lexus if youre the reputable dealer you say you are.

Mistake #1...A Well Known, Sleazy Dealership Chain!

AUTHOR: Jim - (USA)

POSTED: Friday, September 28, 2012

Without regard to the discourse provided by the dealership person, you chose to involve yourself with a dealership chain well known in the USA for their sleaziness and gross lack of integrity and ethics. Check your paperwork. Check it...you'll no doubt find a $600-$1000 bogus, add-on, phoney fee which is typical of the slimeball reputation this chain has among the regulators but also those in the business. With this BOGUS FEE they have lied to you about the real price of the car. This Napleton CONGAME goes like this: They give you a "price" for a car. Its a FAKE price...a price they have zero intention of selling the car at. They use this FAKE PRICE to trick you into thinking you're getting such a fantastic deal. Instead, they make up the difference between the NAPLETON FAKE PRICE and the real price by coming up with a purely bogus, add-on, phoney fee of $600-$1000. In order to TRICK YOU into thinking its something legitimate, they give it an official sounding name but it is still ALL BOGUS. Their "defense" is "we make full disclosure of all fees"...as if telling you they are LYING to you somehow legitimizes the Napleton Congame. If a dealership LIES to you about the price of a car, do you really want to do business with SLIME like that? Some dealerships, when confronted with an obvious example of DEFRAUDING or DECEIVING customers will hide behind the BBB. They will attempt to put up a smokescreen by saying "we are BBB members and we have an "A+" rating!". Every legitimate business person knows anybody and buy whatever "rating" they want from the BBB. The BBB "rating" is absolutely useless. The BBB is NOT part of any goverment entity and has ZERO powers of enforcement. In short, the BBB is a scam. Remember, the Napleton chain has a well deserved reputation of sleazy, slimey operation. That FACT is very well known in the business. Don't ever do any business with them again and spread the word. The STENCH of the Napleton reputation is very, very well known!

LS460L

AUTHOR: NAPLETON INFINTI - (United States of America)

POSTED: Thursday, September 27, 2012

we have attempted to solve this issue with the customer multiple times with no success. this customer tried to buy the car when it was at the auction in ohio. we bid on the car and he bid on the car, our store won the bid. every auction has condition reports of the vehicle which this customer was well aware of the condition of the vehicle. he found out we had won the bid and called the store to buy the car. he negotiated his best deal at that time he requested a car fax. we sent him a car fax that stated the vehicle was a one owner with no previous damage(clean car fax).

i spoke with this customer many times during the negotiation's and he made it clear to me that he believed we paid too much for the car and he wasn't happy that we won the bid because he was trying to get the car for 2000$ less than what we paid for it. we ended up make the deal and he arranged shipping to have the car delivered to his house.

three days later he called me cursing and very unprofessional that we painted the car. i explained to him that he was well aware of the vehicles condition and that he bought the car a couple days after we recieved it and that the car was in the same condition as to when we bought it from the auction. he said we wanted us to pay him 2000$ because the car had been painted. i told him we have provided him with all the information available to us and that he had access to all the same information as we did ie. auction data and vehicle condition reports.

i have a feeling this customer is trying to manipulate our store to pay him the money he felt he lost because we won the original bid at the auction, which in turn made the vehicle a little more expensive for him to purchase.

we have hid nothing from the customer we provided all the information he asked for and never once misrepresented the vehicle. when i spoke with the customer originally he knew everything about the car already i didn't have to explain a thing, because he had been following it for weeks trying to buy it from the auction.

i have been nothing but willing to help this customer with his issues but have been unsuccessful because all he wants is 2000$ that he felt he lost when we bought the car at the auction out biding him.

Pete Grinnell

AUTHOR: CRF7 - (USA)

POSTED: Thursday, September 27, 2012

Since I posted the piece about Napleton I have tried to contact Pete Grinnell ,the co-owner,of Napleton Infiniti. He will not return my calls and Nick Salerno, the closer turned GM, is a waste of time. The only person that tried to help was Monette White. I believe they fired her in the last two weeks?

Update: I have a car with paint work, no title and no customer service. All I want is $2899 to get this car where it should be when I bought the vehicle.
