National Floors Direct Terrible experience Avon Massachusetts

The installer team of 2 showed up 7 hours late. We were scheduled for a noon to 3pm installation. 3pm came and went, my wife stayed home all day waiting for them. They never called so we called them, they said they were running behind and would be there in 2 hours (5pm). The didn't show up until 6:45pm. It disrupted our dinner, my daughter's homework, and we had to listen to hammering, pounding and a power stapler all night. They didn't leave the house until 10:45pm (and they said they were going to another job - their 3pm to 6pm installation). We had to move furniture back into the room, and since it was the master bedroom, we had to re-make the bed and put things back. We didn't get to bed that night until after 1am. It was a horrible experience.

They left a gouge in the wall, a scrape in some furniture, and the installation was terrible. On the staircase they left unsightly staple indentations all over the vertical kick boards. It was worse than a do-it-yourselfer job. You should see pictures of it - it looks awful.

We plan to rip out the carpet and have a real carpet company do the re-installation. Although we've asked for a full refund, the best the company would do was to send out a "repair technician" to fix the damage to our property. They wouldn't consider reinstalling without additional payment. We plan to alert the Better Business Bureau and the state Attorney General's office of consumer affairs.

Don't use National Floors Direct. Their constant advertising makes it look so easy. The reality is a nightmare.
