I requested a quote online for movers. "Will" from National Moving Express call me right away, on a Sunday night, to give me a great price of 1025 dollars to move all my things from Orlando to Florida. He explained to me that the low price was because they move several residents at once, lowering the cost of my move. They gave me a quote of 1025 dollars and I gave them a 400 dollar deposit.

On the pick up date of May 17th, 2006, the movers came and strong armed my fiance by chanrging that "Will" was an idiot and didn't know anything about moving. The cost inflated to 2154 dollars, because of the miscalculated Cubic Footage. Even though I was repeatedly assured that this was a "Flat Rate" price when quoted initially. Two of the movers even got into an altercation with each other at my residence.

It was far too late for me to make other living arrangements at that time, and they had me over a barrel. Bait and Switch.

The ONLY date listed on my contract for delivery was May 27th, 2006. This was also the date that was repeatedly confirmed by the sales rep, Will.

After trying multiple times to confirm the deliver time on the 27th, without getting through and without a return phone call from National Moving Express, I was told, finally, by "Jay" that my stuff would not be delivered on that date, due to problems with a customer in Georgia. I was assured that mid week, my goods will be delivered. 5 days later for a problem with one customer?

By mid week, I called to get an accurate delivery time of my goods. I was told that my goods were put on a wrong truck, and that they would not be delivered that week. Didn't they know when they had a problem with the customer in Georgia that the truck wasn't scheduled to make a stop in Pennsylvania? I was told that the truck would have to come back to Florida, then my goods would go back out on the correct truck.

I called to confirm this latest information, and was told that the truck would be lieaving this past Saturday, and my goods would be delivered by mid-week. Once again, I rearranged my work schedule and prepared for the arrival. When i called this morning, I found out the truck has not left Florida yet. Again.

Also, I found out that "Will" and "Jay" are the same person. Not just a nickname, but one person, acting as two individuals. "Will" is the new, naive sales rep, that makes the mistake of misquoteing the move, and "Jay" is the person that helps "Will" with his mistakes. Thanks to Sandra, who let the cat out of the bag this morning on that fact. (I was suspisious of that prior anyway, because "Will-Jay" got confused on the phone one day last week, and outed himself.)

National Moving Express refuses to:

Give me a date of Delivery
Tell me where my things are at.

I suspect that they NEVER left their warehouse, and they are still waiting for a truck that travels to my area. "Will-Jay" has lied about MANY, MANY things through the quoting, pick up, and deliver process.

Also, they listed, slyly, my NEW furniture as Heavily Worn and Torn on the Bill of Lading, in the case that it is damaged, they are realsed from liability. It takes about an hour of decoding to figure out the that is what the driver noted on the paperwork.

They do not respond to me, my attorney, the Federal Motor Carrier Safetly Administration, or the Broward County Consumer Affairs office.

Do not contract these people. I have insulted my own inteligence by hiring these liars.

I am still out a lot of money, without my possesions, and no date of delivery or clue to where my things are at.

Updated Report - I misquoted the Destination goods to be Delivered

AUTHOR: Joe - (U.S.A.)

POSTED: Wednesday, June 07, 2006

In my report, i said that National Moving Express was contracted by me to move my goods from "Orlando to Florida."

The Correct verbage should have read "Orlando to Zelienople, PA; just north of Pittsburgh."

Everyhting else about this situation is correct, and unchanged so far.
